Hi all!
First off! Amazing forums... i've been visiting religously for the past month since booking our holiday and really haven't felt i could contribute much as most threads seem to get replied to so quickly by the regular orlando visitors with such good answers. Reading up peoples stories helps the waiting time go by and the excitement build up Anyway, i'd just like to thanks to everyone on the forums for being so nice to each other
We leave June 7th to stay in the Quality Inn International. I've been to orlando twice before ('94 and '01) both times with family but now i'm going with my gf ali who hasnt been before and i can't wait to show her what's in store I was actually going out with her the last time i went but didnt have enough money to take her along and instead spent many hours on the phone to her from all the parks just trying to describe what it was like
We did visit Disneyland Paris last september together and had a wonderful time, though it does lack the other parks it was very relaxing and had great fun.
The two times i've visited orlando, the 1st i was only 11 and we stayed at the Holiday inn on i drive, second time we stayed at best western, florida mall. I feel quite exprienced now with the area and getting around. I'm 20 so a rental car wasn't an option but i actually feel a bit better not having to drive anyway and the Quality inn int. has a free shuttle to sea world & the universals. They also have $12 return shuttles to disney so with all that and the idrive trolley i think we'll be fine. I'm not yet sure about the times of these shuttles, i'm hoping they'll be good as they were from the best western fl mall. Anyone with details for the shuttle at this hotel would be much appreciated.
One question i have for those who know idrive well is regarding supermarkets such as walmart, are there any on idrive and if so what would you recommend?
The hotel fridge will be great for keeping our supplies and ive picked up a small thermos cooler bag which has room for about 6 drinks and space left for snacks.
Thanks for your time all,
David
