My DH travels a little bit for work. We have accumulated some Marriott points. Each time he has flown a different airline, and we did not sign up for points.

I would like to start accumulating points & am looking for any advice on airline rewards programs. He travels- only a few times a year- to major cities, so most air lines are an option. Any suggestions for how to get started & what programs are best would be very appreciated.

    Thanks!

The first thing is to have him sign up for all the frequent flier programs. The second is to find a credit card that might also allow for points into any of those programs. The third is to watch for ways to accumulate double/triple mileage (flyertalk.com is a great site to find out about those promos). Also make sure he assigns his car rentals and/or hotels that aren't part of his Marriott program to go to his 'favorite' frequent flier program.

Good luck! If he can manage to get to elite status in any of those programs, his mileage will grow much more quickly!
