Help with Season Pass Blackout Dates

Season Passes have blackout dates until January 4th. Does that mean we can use them on January 4th, or we can't use them until January 5th??

If it says Blacked out between Dec 23rd-Jan 4th, then Jan. 5th is the first day you can use it.
