I've begun planning our son's 1st Trip to WDW and our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary! Hooray! We go to Disneyland every year but we really want this anniversary to be extra special. We had our honeymoon in WDW and we haven't been back since. So 10 years later a lot has changed. One of which is Dining! And now we will have our DS (who will have just turned 6 on the trip) with us!! I've been researching Dining at WDW and already my head is going to explode! :rotfl: Dining at Disneyland is very different. So I need any and all suggestions for Dining at Epcot. Looks like we will be doing 2 days in that park to give us enough time to cover everything. One night I would like to eat at Rose and Crown but not sure about anywhere else.

On the trip will be DH, DS and myself as well as my Mom and Dad.

We love the Biergarten at the Germany Pavilion; it's an all you can eat buffet. The show is great and the kids (and adults too) can dance on the dance floor. I'm not a beer drinker but DH loves the beer (extra charge). Via Napoli in Italy has great pizza. The Garden Grill in the Land pavilion is good too and has character dining; it's an all you can eat family style meal.:thumbsup2

VN is great. Pizza is so good. Coral Reef is a good place to eat too. Food is good and the aquarium is very cool! They will also sub if you don't want what comes with your meal. Great for pickey kids. Although almost everyplace will do the same. Congrats on your anniversary!!

My family loves Teppan Edo in Japan. We are trying Biergarten for the first time because I have seen do many good reviews. When you eat at R&C, make it a dinner reservation. When you check in with the hostess, ask to sit outside. It gives you a great view of Illuminations.

For QS, we love B. Patessirie (sp?) in France. Yummy desserts!!!

Our hands down favorite and must-do is the Biergarten - we now do it two times a trip. Good food selection and great music.

Another vote for the Biergarten! We have eaten there our last 3 trips and we love it! Great atmosphere and food.

For table service at Epcot we like Le Cellier and Coral Reef. Your son would prefer Coral Reef im sure.

Epcot also has lots of interesting quick service options if you don't want to be tied down to a reservation. One of our favorites is grabbing some fish and chips and watching British Revolution (I think that's the name of the band) in the courtyard in England.

    Enjoy your trip!

In World Showcase, we have tried Teppan Edo (Japan) and San Angel (Mexico) and both were wonderful. I enjoyed Chefs de France with my Mom, but not sure a young boy would be as interested.

My personal preference is to have dinner in World Showcase rather than Future World, because then you are already there before Illuminations starts. Depending on the timing, this may or may not matter.

We love Via Napoli in Italy. The pizza is amazing and the service there has always been great.

The Garden Grill is another one of our favorites. This is a character dinner and is served family style, all you can eat (you get turkey, roast beef, fish, potatoes, salad, bread and dessert). The characters are Chip, Dale, Mickey, Pluto. Its a really fun experience.

Loved Chefs des France. Rose and Crown was good, also.

Lots of good quick service too...we love Sunshine Seasons Food Court, Tangierine Cafe (not so much the sit down Restaurant Marrakesh), and the bakery in France- they've expanded their menu and I've heard nothing but good things.

Biergarten or Coral Reef. Both are must dos for us on every trip. I love Le Cellier, but now it's considered signature dining, so it's pricey.

Le Cellier!! Especially if you're a steak person! The filet is beyond amazing, and the cheddar cheese soup with pretzel bread!?!? :cheer2: soooo good!

Thanks for all the great suggestions and the links to some restaurant reviews. This has helped me narrow it down. I like the Garden Grill and the Coral Reef. My son would really enjoy either one of those. I'm kind of leaning towards the Coral Reef one. My son really enjoys looking at sea life. :fish:

We love San Angel Inn - for the food, and the atmosphere! Next trip, we'll be with our 2yo DD, and are looking forward to trying Coral Reef (she loves sea life too, and I'm thinking this will keep her entertained!).

I'd also like to try the sushi at Tokyo Dining.

We have eaten at all the restaurants in Epcot several times over the years and we have had great meals every place. We have only had not-so-great meals a few times at a couple of restaurants - I guess that's just the luck of the draw.

You really can't go wrong, but Tokyo Dining is one that gets overlooked a lot and it has great food. LaHacienda is another one. Akershus is one we haven't gone to in years since the princess theme is not one we're interested in.

I would say maybe Teppan Edo in Japan. The food is great and the show they put on while they are making your food is cool! :thumbsup2
