I too am a roller coaster chicken. I have learned to overcome my fear though. My young daughters are ride enthusiasts that begged me to ride with them. I figured it would be over in a minute and a half so I could gut it out once for them. Surprisingly, it was better than I thought. There are actually little hilly bumps on SDMT that make my tummy flutter, but nothing scary in the least. SM isn't scary, but I don't enjoy it at all because it is so jerky. It's not a comfortable ride at all. The theme is nice so I wish they would make it a smoother ride. Everest is kind of intense. I was able to handle riding it several times because I got over my fear, but there are parts I still have to try to gut through. It stops at a peak and sits there for a while before jerking you backwards. It made me nervous sitting there knowing I was about to be jerked backwards. Going backwards is a different feeling than going forwards too. The drop gets to me too, but overall the ride is really fun. It helped that my family loves it, so I liked joining in their fun. I say try riding these rides at least once.
