Help a girl out

I responded today to a facebook post of a friend in Ireland. She has a friend with a trip booked through a Irish TA. No meals booked. No plans at all. My friend is asking for help for her.

I am an US TA who knows our packages well. I'm willing to help this friend of a friend make plans and dining reservations. I just don't know how My Disney Experience works for those of you on non-US packages.

Is it different at all? Any pointers as I help this friend of a friend for pixie dust?

I sure would hate to fly all that way and find out that I couldn't eat in a sit-down restaurant because I didn't have reservations! Just trying to treat this family the way I would want to be treated. I appreciate any advice!
:)

My Disney Experience should function exactly as it would with a US package. Your only difference here is depending how you booked, it may take a little work to get the Disney reference number in the correct format. She is going to have to contact her TA and ask for her "US Disney reference number". Unfortunately, we don't have Disney specialist travel agents here and while some are fairly well informed, a lot of utter nonsense gets fed to guests as they guess and assume their way through. Once she gets the confirmation number it should link her package with tickets (and dining if she booked that as part of it) and everything else should work just as it does with US bookings.

that reference number is what I was concerned about as I tried to help her book some dining.

Her friend was upset that the TA didn't book dining ...but I tried to reassure her that typically TAs don't book dining locations for half way around the world 180 days in advance.

Disney is a unique and wonderful destination!:dance3:

The TA should be able to give the friend the US reference but if they can't or won't if they are at 180 days or less UK people have had luck calling the dining line to book and the CM has given them the reference :thumbsup2

Hi Elise 79,

The OP stated that her friend Booked through an Irish Travel Agent.

I know - but not getting the Us reference from the TA will be the same if it's UK or Ireland. Either way if they can't get the reference from the TA if they call the dining line with check in date and resort they will most probably get the reference from them :thumbsup2
