DH has decided we are going on vacation and picked WDW. I am beyond excited and even now started dreaming about our trip. I have NEVER traveled, much less go on vacation.

We are going 2-20-10 and staying for 8 days in Magical Memories Villa and then hitting the road and seeing what we see. We don't have to be back to MI until 3-6 :)

I have already ordered my free planning DVD and trying to be patient for it to arrive. I have reserved our condo and now trying to decide what/if we want to do any of the character meals etc.

Can't wait to hear everyone's great advice :)

Hi Everyone,
My self Thomas and I am new here and Forum discussion is one of my hobbies.I think It's great to discuss about the topics which people like.I am learning much more things from forum discussion.
It's great to be a part of the site and It was not difficult to be part of it as for the other sites.

Hi,
we've been going to WDW for years now and we still enjoy the character meals that they offer and our son is now 16! ;)

One of the best in our opinion is the character meal that is held in the Contemporary. You get to ride the monorail to your meal, they take pictures and the characters take the time to visit each table.

Have a blast and take lots of pictues!

:welcome::welcome:

We have done a few character meals, The place at the Contemporary is called Chef Mickey's. This place is a lot of fun and the food is pretty good.
I noticed you like Winnie the Pooh, the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom has all the characters from Winnie the Pooh, Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger and Piglet.

We have tried the meal at Ohana's at the Polyensian Resort as well and it was Stich and Lilo.

Please keep in mind that you probably want to make ADR's for any of these locations, as all the restaurants fill up fairly quickly. I would'nt think you could walk up to any of these places and be able to get in.

Good luck and have fun planning, it's almost as fun as going!!

Browse on over to the other boards and you see pics of the restaurants as well.

Thank you all for the warm welcome :)

I have spent so much time reading these boards my DH says he feels abandoned LOL

So little time left to research soooo many things.

Welcome to the DIS! :goodvibes

My two favorite character meals are at Crystal Palace in the MK and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

Here are the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus for CP: http://allears.net/menu/menu_cpb.htm, http://allears.net/menu/menu_cpl.htm, http://allears.net/menu/menu_cpd.htm

And here are the breakfast and dinner menus for PF:

Since you are still planning, I would recommend going to allearsnet. It is a wonderful website with tons of planning information and has all the menus for all the restaurants. Have a magical vacation! :wizard:
