Express lines at CP? No. We wish.
To get on Millennium Force they have a tradition called "Running with the bulls." Everyone gets there early before the gate opens. They stand behind a rope. When the park opens, the rope drops and everyone RUNS to MF like you wouldn't believe. You get one walk on ride, a 30 minute wait ride, then it's 2 hours until the park closes, even at midnight. CP is completely different from anything you've ever seen. It's the super bowl of roller coasters. MF is like nothing you've ever ridden. The speed is what makes it so cool. 92 Miles per hour is such a rush. You fall down the first drop. I wish IOA could get around the height restrictions and build an Intamin Giga coaster.
To answer your question about staying one night, depends on how much money you want to spend. They have cheap hotels like DaysInn on the road leading to the point. You can visit sites like
www.daysinn.com or
www.comfortinn.com. Or you can go to
www.cedarpoint.com and see their hotels. They have one on site called The Breakers, and one at the entrance to the island called Breakers Express (cheaper). But one night? You'll be rushed.
They do have a twilight rate at 4pm. Goto
www.cedarpoint.com and order their coupon book, it's free, you might get it in time. They have lots of hotel suggestions in there with coupons.
Good idea is to do the twilight rate your first night, buy your ticket for the next day, then be at the gate an hour before the park opens.
I'm sure Barry is having a great time. And I'm sure he will agree with me on my wish for a Giga coaster at IOA.
