Have you ever been upgraded at WL at checkin??

Wow.. seems like a lot of people received upgrades.. now that is disney magic!

Not me personally, but my SIL and two little nieces were upgraded from a standard room to concierge. They needed the extra magic - she had just been through a very difficult divorce. She thought her parents had called and upgraded her room - didn't realize until she got home that she had been the recipient of Disney magic!

However, it is rare to receive an upgrade at any Disney Resort. Last August was our twelth stay on property and the first time we have been upgraded.

It's not rare for us, we've received an upgrade 3 out of the 4 times we stayed on property

The last one was at the WL about 7 weeks age. We went from a Standard to Courtyard view.

We arrive at WL in 18 days. I booked a standard room. I'm not counting on an upgrade, but I'm hoping for one!!

The few times my family and I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, I think maybe 1 or 2 times we were given an upgrade from a Standard View to a Courtyard View.

We had a standard view reserved and when we checked-in we were upgraded to a courtyard view. We had an awesome view of the pool and the lagoon. We were also the flag family.

We were one of those standard upgraded to woods. Wow... that woods view was relaxing and quiet.

We have been upgraded all three times that we have stayed at the WL. In 2003 from std to cl, in 2005 from std to crtyrd, & in 2006 from std to wv.

We were upgraded in the villas last year. We had booked a Studio and they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom!

I have also been upgraded at the WL twice. From Standard to woods and then standard to courtyard. My husband and I are going in June for a long weekend and booked a standard room and would love to be upgraded but are not counting on it. But here's some pixie dust for everyone hoping for upgrades....

the only upgrade we've ever had was 1 night in the vice predidential suite!! We had booked 2 regular rooms for 1 night and the rest in a 2 bedroom villa, those with DVC points. We checked in early and no room, checked back at 4--no room, at 5, checked and they said we would be escorted to our room by the concierge--almost fell over when we saw what room we had.

A few years ago we stayed at WL, the only request we made was to have a bunkbed for our dds. We originally booked a standard view room, but when we got there the CM told us that we were going to be upgraded to a Courtyard view with bunkbed room. Best of all, it was a first floor, corner room, which helped with a double stroller. Eventhough we were on the first floor, the view of the lodge was still amazing. This was probably the first time anything like that had happened to me. Hmmm what would be the chances of something like that happening again this June
