Have You Ever Been the Only Person on a Disney Ride?

Several times, usually late at night. But, the absolute worst time? It was a private DIS party, in Dec. The DIS has bought out the Pixar Place area for a private party for something like 3 hrs. I rode TSM a few times with another moderator. Well, he got out, but the door shut before I could hop out. Seems he knew the CMs working (he actually worked at DHS at the time in an office). So, they sent me off, by myself, into TSM. There wasn't another soul in there. It was late in the party, so most people had already been on it, multiple times. Long story short.....they kept me on that ride, by myself, four more times!!! It got really creepy in there, all alone!!!

Early one morning at MK, I went Left when the rope drop crowd went Right and found myself at POC all by my lonesome. First thought was isn't this wonderful having the ride all to myself. I quickly discovered it wasn't that wonderful. In fact, pretty creepy in the dark with all of the mannequins watching me. Once and done.

Many times on our trip Sept 2014. EMH night at EPCOT we rode Nemo ourselves just DBF and I. HM after rope drop same trip, Little Mermaid as well. And then PoTC was a walk on with our own boat.

I rode Dinosaur (or was it still Countdown to Extinction?) alone once. As in solo. Singular. Solitary.

I haven't liked that ride since...

I always ride Mission Space orange alone because my family is made up of a bunch of chickens.:)

Mid November a few years ago (2012 I think?), we were at MK at rope drop. Headed towards Adventureland and for some reason we stopped and had a conversation with the guy manning the Magic Carpets. We were the only ones around, and we sort of felt bad for the guy.. so we rode the carpets, alone. Something we never ride, and I don't think we've done it since.

That same day, we were in Fantasyland around lunch time. This was when New Fantasyland was in limited soft open. We were able to get on the Little Mermaid ride, and were the only ones on it, that I could see. I think we did about 4 runs without getting off, and didn't see anyone else get on.

I have ridden many rides alone (with just me and the person I travel with) over the years.

My favorite to ride alone is splash mountain. Happens pretty regularly at night when it's chilly outside.

Only time I have ridden alone was September 2014; the ride:Maelstrom! I had a fast pass for about 30 minutes later, but saw standby was 5 minutes. Walked though the line and was seated in the last row. Nobody else came so I had the boat to myself. My fastpass ride (full) stopped 10 feet from the loading area so I had to evacuate. So my last ride was solo and made for a wonderful goodbye. I would post a picture of my boat, but it is so dark that it is difficult to see anything.

Yesss during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party during the first parade My mom, cousin and I rode Splash Mountain. Just us 3 in the log! And what made it even better was when we got back to the load and unload dock they asked if we wanted to sit back down and go again since there was no one in line! Splash Mountain 2 times in a row! Happy camper =)

I'll never forget DW and I getting to ride Splash Mountain four or five times in a row without having to get out of the logs. It was around 11:30 on a MNSSHP night and decided we wanted to end the night with our favorite ride. The CMs working the controls were awesome and told us we could ride it as much as we'd like, and I may have only seen one other family that entire time but we always had the log to ourselves.

Just the PeopleMover: I boarded whilst having some solo time at MK, just after the ride had had a temporary stoppage (a couple of minutes). As my car launched off from the station, I realised I was the only one in it, sat in the back carriage. It was very cool, although a little unnerving when I got stopped inside Space Mountain in the pitch black! :scared: Thankfully it wasn't for too long!

Yes! It was awesome! I had been hoping to get on AstroOrbiter before the wait time got too long. I scurried there first and NO LINE! As a matter of fact NO ONE!! This was right after they had refurbed it .....it was amazing riding by myself. ....lost in space :)

Do the boats count? I was the only guest on a boat between MK and the GF some years ago. It was really fun!

Or just you and your small party?

Once at AK I was the only rider for Tri-whatever Topspin (Dinosaur Dumbo). It was right before closing, and DH didn't want to ride. There were five or six people on the ride when I got in line. On the next cycle, nobody else approached so I had the whole ride to myself!!

A few times it was just me and DH and/or the kids in a ride vehicle, like Living With the Land boat ride at Epcot or the People Mover at MK, but likely there were other occupied vehicles elsewhere along the circuit.

One evening EMH at Epcot, we went to see the Canada film, arriving just after the current show started. DH and I were the only people in the waiting room for about 10 minutes. A small group approached, but they were turned away because they weren't staying on-site. We thought we might have a private showing, but at the last minute more people arrived. It was an audience of about 10 or so.

Over at Universal, about 15 minutes before closing, DH and I rode the original Harry Potter ride at IOA. It was practically a walk-on. I wanted to ride again, but DH didn't. I didn't see a single person in the long winding queue, and there were no other riders at the loading platform. The five or six sideways moving cars ahead of mine were empty, and nobody else approached before my car disappeared into the actual ride. Private date with Harry Potter!!

In April 2011, my wife and I were the only ones on it's a small world, and that same trip we rode The Great Movie ride with no one else...

We were on Its a Small World by ourselves a few years ago- DH, myself, and two kids under 4. It was nearly midnight. Not sure there was anyone within two rooms of us. Very creepy as the boats still back up even with no one on it. Yeah, all by yourself late at night in IAWS not moving. No one else in sight. Even DH was getting a little creeped out by the dolls!

A couple of years ago I got to ride on POTC by myself. I sat in the center of a center row and really enjoyed the 360 degree vision without any obstructions. If had been a photographer I would have the chance to take endless unobstructed pictures.

Yes--a few years ago. we went in January. It was cold. My daughter and I rode Splash Mountain three times in a row at night--we never got off the ride, they just kept pushing us through when we got to the end. We saw no one else on it. It was great...cold, but great.

Kind of. One year at EPCOT, my wife and two young sons were chosen as the "First Family" for The American Adventure show. We were escorted to an elevator to the second floor and allowed to enter the auditorium around 10 minutes before anyone else. It's a rather large theater and it was kind of odd being the only people in it; however, we did get to stroll around a bit and check out details that we had never noticed before. Right before we were chosen, my boys were arguing and causing a little bit of a scene so I'm convinced to this day that they "chose" us in order to get us the heck out of the lobby and stop annoying the other people there! :rotfl:
