Have BWV Studio rooms been updated at all?

We're staying in a BWV studio (water view) in April. Just curious about the condition of the rooms...heard they may be a little worn out looking? Also, can two sit out on the balcony to enjoy the boardwalk view?

Any info about your experiences would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

DVC does ongoing renovations that maintain the same decor, not periodic renovations that fundamentally change the way things look. Different components of the room are on different replacement cycles. That keeps the rooms in decent shape, while keeping annual dues under control.

If BWV had never been renovated since it opened 1996, the rooms would be in awful shape now.

When we stayed at BWV last year, the carpet in our room looked as if someone had been running around on it wearing football cleats; there were snagged carpet loops all over the place. The kitchen table and coffee table were worn. Everything else was fine.

The balconies have two chairs and a small table (more suitable for drinks than for meals).

You say you have a "water view." Do you have a preferred view or a Boardwalk view? They are two different categories. Regular preferred view rooms are not along the Boardwalk.

Thank you Horace, for your response. Yup, I should have said Boardwalk view. This will be our first visit on the Boardwalk.
