Have any of you been to Playa del carmen mexico?

We will be there the first part of Dec. Have never been before. We are staying at the royal.Anything we should or shouldn't do see or not? any ifo would be welcomed.

I went last year (and also stayed at The Royal)!

The beaches are the best part of Playa. Definitely take a trip to Fifth Avenue--steps away from The Royal. We went snorkeling with the sea turtles in Akumal (short trip). The ruins in Tulum is worth a trip as well.
