Hasting MN - Hotel Questions

Is anyone familiar with Hasting MN? We are headed there and need to know what towns are surrounding that we could get Hotel rooms.

Hey, that is not far from our house! There isn't much in Hastings--probably a Comfort Inn type place at best. There are some great Bed and Breakfast's there though. What are you looking for?

Americinn Hastings (651) 437-8877

Country Inn-Suites Hastings (651) 437-8870

Hastings is a town of about 20,000 SE of the Twin Cities. You are about 15 minutes to the Mall of America from there. Hastings is an older town on the river with a lot of older houses, etc.

What are you doing in Hastings and when are you coming?

Thanks for the reply Golfgal! We are actually coming this weekend (Sat.) for a graduation. Both those hotels you listed are booked. If we did something close to Mall of America would that be pretty close? We are trying to not have to drive more than 30 minutes if at all possible.

MOA is about 15 minutes from Hastings. Look into hotels in Eagan (around Pilot Knob, Yankee Doodle Rd), Mendota Heights, Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Prescott Wisconsin or Apple Valley. These would all be within 15 minutes or less.

Here are a couple to try:

Hampton Inn Eagan
Holiday Inn Express Eagan
Country Inn and Suites at the Mall of America
Americinn Inver Grove Heights (this is an easy location to Hastings)
Microtel Eagan or Inver Grove Heights--they don't have a pool though.

We have stayed at all these places and they are all nice.

Let me know if you need any other suggestions. Some of the MOA hotels are kind of dodgy. OH, the LODGE at MOA or whatever it is called has an AWESOME water park if you want to stay there. The rooms were really expensive but I think they have lowered their prices to the $150/night range.
