Has Disney ever made an official statement regarding animation reuse?

I'm just curious, with the obvious examples and proof that animation sequences have been reused from film to film, has anyone in the Disney company ever made a statement about it or talked about it in an interview or something?

I don't think less of the Disney films because of the reuse, I find it interesting actually, I've just always been curious as to the official reason behind it.

Pretty sure the answer's no. My guess on the official reason is likely the obvious one: money. Reusing animation, even backgrounds, saves money. Sad to consider, especially now that the Disney corporation would clearly not need to save money, but back in the day, they weren't as flush.
