Has anyone gone through the que on Tower Terror & Chicken Exit?

I'm prone to motion sickness and my daughter also doesn't want to do the ride, but one in our group does. Has anyone gone through to see the que and taken the chicken exit on Tower of Terror? Do people do this? I've heard it's kind of cool to see the inside of the attraction even if you don't ride. Where does the chicken exit take you?

Important thing to know is that the chicken exit involves an elevator. This can feel a bit odd if you're exiting due to fear of being on the elevator ride.

I have. :) A CM will escort you and it takes you right back outside.

Actually, it does not take you back outside.
It takes you on a standard "office elevator" down one floor and into the same hallway that regular riders exit to.
Then, you can wait there (or in the gift shop, about 50 steps away) for the rest of your party.

When we go next I'll be 1/2 way through my pregnancy, and I know my husband will still want to ride a bunch of our favorite "thrill" rides that I won't be able to. So I plan on using chicken exits a lot, that way we can wait in line together (unless there's a single rider line). I think it will be interesting to see all the chicken exits. Plus I love some of the ques and I'd be sad if I had to miss them all!

I have in Disneyland. I used to be absolutely terrified of this ride and was ready to give it a second shot with friends when they put us front row and had a huge panic attack. The CM's couldn't have been nicer as my grown adult woman was bawling her eyes out. Now it's my favorite...go figure.

We used to use it frequently when the kids were younger and no so much into ToT. The "chicken exit" was easy to use -very convenient

Thank you everyone. I've never even seen the ride. I'll look forward to visiting it this year, but will chicken exit out to avoid nausea. Thanks!

By the way, the big Harry Potter ride at Universal that is in the castle (Forbidden Journey?). That is worth going through the que, if the line isn't crazy long, but I found that ride way too intense to actually ride again. just fyi.

Just a note for all you Scrabble players out there -- I will NOT let you play "Que" just because you see it here on the DISboards! ;)

If you chicken exit with a child, but still want to ride the ride yourself, tell the cast member. I had to chicken exit with my son, and once my party got off the ride, I was told to return to the chicken exit, and the same cast member who brought me out, brought me right back in and directly onto the ride.
