Has anyone ever had a "critter" other than bug visit your resort room?

Stemming off that thread about not preferring first floor rooms, primarily at the mods and values where they have exterior room access only I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had a critter in their room other than small bugs which could get in anywhere? Now I'm scared that I requested ground floor at the CBR this fall. I requested ground floor because I see there are no elevators and we have a stroller.

Also, if this happened how did "it" get in? Is there a possibility it could slither in under your door? Or are the bottoms of the doors sealed? We've always stayed at Pop twice 4th floor, once 2nd floor and cant remember how the bottoms of the doors are.

what do you mean by critter other than a bug?

Well I just read on another thread some people request upper floor rooms so that critters are less likely to get in. Primarily, snakes but any unwanted critters!

We've stayed at the CBR four years in a row (twice downstairs) and haven't even had a bug in our room.

I'm so glad I read your post.......

Question: How is the noise level at CBR when you stayed on the ground floor?

My DW and I are going to put a request in for any room in the Jamaica section, I was just wondering if I should add 2nd floor to the request. Little critters are not a concern for us.

It will be our first time there and we're really excited.

Thanks! :)

Note: sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread. :sad2:

I have read some on here that have had snakes in their room and not on the bottom. I also read about a frog but not sure which floor.

We've stayed twice downstairs and twice upstairs. Never have we had a problem with noise on either level.

Jamaica is a beautiful village and is the first stop/drop off when coming to and from some of the parks. The other first stop/drop off village is Martinique. Don't know if you realize it or not but not all of the Martinique buildings are preferred.

We had a frog hop it's happy way into the room one night...no biggie, just scooped him up and took him back out.

We ran across a black snake on the sidewalk leading to our room one evening.

I do remember a thread a while back that had a snake and it's nest of eggs in their room at CR once...:scared1: If I recall correctly, it was right after they did a room refurb and they were the first to stay in the 'new' room.

omg how do snakes or frogs get under the door to get into the room? The doors are very heavy and close tight.

We always stay on ground floor rooms because of my grandfather's bad knee and "critters" have never really been a problem for us. Only once have we had any event. One year, we had one of those small lizards make its way in the room and onto my back as I was laying on the bed watching TV. He was quickly escorted back outside and I to the shower. No big deal.

We have had ducks and a snake visit our patios at OKW. Both were harmless.

We've had a lizard on two separate occasions. Both times we were on the ground floor. We were able to catch one of them, but not the other. From what I understand, they can't hurt you, so I only attempted to catch them so we wouldn't kill them by accident.

A snake would be a whole different ball game, unless I knew it was one that doesn't bite. That fortunately has never happened.

We were on the top floor at the WLV when a frog snuck past me into the room. I was heading out onto the balcony. Saw a shadow out of the corner of my eye, but when I looked didn't see anything. My DH got quite the fright that night when he surprised the poor little frog and it jumped at him.

As far as how they get in, I saw one of our little lizard friends heading into the air conditioner vent. Never saw him in the room, though.

Our first visit to POR, my husband had a "visitor" in the shower with him--a lizard dropped down from the ceiling while he was showering! Must have gotten in through the vent. We were on the second floor.

This didn't happen at Disney, but at the beach in Panama. We had a small sand crab in the bathtub. I thought the kids were playing tricks, but they weren't!

We had little birds fly in our open balcony door at Saratoga, they flew back out after a brief investigation.

wouldnt so much mind a duck or a bird! A lizard would freak me, a snake would send me packing!

A little lizard got in our room at the Poly once. I blamed it on the kids for letting it sneak in when they came in from the pool that evening. Walked into the shower the next morning and the lizard looked at me like, "Do you mind?!?!" Scooped him up in the trash can and put him back outside.:lmao:

I used to live in Florida so lizards don't bother me. :thumbsup2
