Just wondering if anyone has ever had to wait over the 30 rofr days to find out if they passed or not? I had some interesting news yesterday from shawnray. Contract was in 3/19, sharon told me in email on 3/20 it was sent to disney that day so that would mean we're on day 22. They find out tuesdays (some come wed.) Shawnray told me last nite it was sent 3/21?, so that means it would take until 4/21 & maybe even 4/23 to hear. (Can she do math or do they not incl. Wkends?) Im like woah lady!!! Ist you tell me it was sent a day later than my broker informed me & I already cant handle the wait & now ur tellin me a whole 'nother week? I Didnt say anything because from reading the boards it looks like every1 finds out b4 the 30, i just wanted to know if any1 had to wait over that. Next tues. We'd be at 28..

On page 4 of your contract, at the bottom, is an effective date, that is the day is was sent to ROFR.

And if you are this deep I think you are safe. Take a breath and relax, you have 41 years to enjoy(SSR contract?).

Please, for your own sake, take a deep breath. Yes, ROFR activity was up in the last few weeks. But more contracts seemed to get through this week. But you're only at Day 22, which always meant you'd likely be waiting until at least next week. I highly doubt one day would mean a week-long difference between when you thought you'd hear from Disney and when you actually will.

But the bottom line is that there is absolutely nothing you can do at this point, it's out of your hands. And once you're through waiting on ROFR, then you have the joy of waiting for contracts, waiting for closing, waiting to be inputted into Disney's system to look forward to. LOTS of waiting, so patience will be a key word in your life for the next couple of months.

Trust me, we've all been where you are (waiting on pins and needles). But sometimes walking away from the Purchasing DVC board can be a good plan until your contract gets waived, otherwise you'll just make yourself crazy. May take a look at the DVC trip report board to keep you distracted.

This is good advice. There seem to be these clusters of hysteria every once and awhile as new purchasers wait out the 30 day ROFR period. I don't get it, it's not that big of a deal. I've had five contracts taken from me in the past year, but there are always others. This is what you signed up for when you decided to buy resale. Those who can't handle the wait should consider buying direct (provided they're not on a wait list). :)

I understand your frustration. When I'm paying for a service/product, I like care in the handling of it. My long-in-the-tooth learning came when I FINALLY realzed that, though I am a perfectionist, and give others my all, not everyone is like me (praise God for that, 'cause I've been a basket of nerves half my life)! I went on vacation during my last ROFR period- time flew by!
