Yay some somewhat off topic news. My free rapid rewards flight credit posted to southwest meaning I have a free round trip ticked to use within the next year. Well with our not so stable economy and the airlines charging for everything I figure I better use it sooner than later incase they decide to discontinue the program. So I had a nice chat with my boss and turns out she will let me take off sometime in November! Since the holidays are such a busy time for us usually no one is allowed extra time off in Nov or Dec. So guess what that means?! I'm going to Disney again! I just had to share my exciting news with you
guys! I know the osborne lights wont be up till nov 28 and I'm going to miss them but I'm hoping all the other decorations will be up since the MVMCP is going on. I guess I will have to start doing some research!

So now there is another trip to plan!

Hey girl!!! I'm FINALLY back on the DIS and reading all of your exciting updates. I am soooo behind! I just love all of your hammock pictures. I feel like I am right back on the cruise when I look at your pictures. Parrot Cay was our fav spot! Yummy! I can't believe the mac 'n cheese wasn't good on DCL! You know that's my fav! I've been thinking about getting a marshmallow pop from Goofy's Candy Co. for day now. I am having a bad craving! The Prince Caspian invite is so neat! What an awesome keepsake! I can't wait to read more and enjoy all of your pictures. I am waiting to hear about the new Toy Story show!

May 16th. First full day on the ship!

I woke up early that morning because I couldn't sleep knowing that we were pulling into the Bahamas. I got up took my shower and didn't hear anything from B. I figured they were still sleeping and didn't want to wake them so I made my way up to deck 10 to watch us pull into port. It was such a beautiful, warm sunny day. The water was so clear and blue like nothing I have ever seen before.

Here is one with Paradise Island (Atlantis) behind me.

It was so cool to see Atlantis since it's on tv all the time. I was kind of bummed that I decided not to do the aquarium excursion though. Oh and a cool little fact that B and K learned on their trip over there: See the arch in the middle of the 2 buildings in that picture? Well thats actually a suite and it goes for $25,000 a night!!!! Must be nice right

Anyway after we pulled in I decided to go to beach blanket and grab some food. They had everything fruit, meats, even Mickey waffles (which I will say tasted kind of funny not like the ones at WDW). As I was sitting in the sunshine eating the ship that we had seen take of before us yesterday was pulling into port.

As you can see not nearly as nice as the Disney Wonder.

I forgot to mention that the day before B and I made appts to have our hair braided. My appt was at 11 while they were on their excursion and hers was at 4 when they got back. After breakfast I was walking back into go get changed and I passed the braiding station. The girl stopped me and asked if she could move my appt up to 10:30 instead (30 minutes from now) and I told her it would be no problem and I would be back. I then made my way to the elevator and who do I see but B and K! They said they woke up wicked late and they needed to run and catch their bus over to Atlantis. I told them to call my room when they got in so we could meet back up and then they were off.

I went back down to my room to change into my bathingsuit and back up to the braiding station I went. It took about 35 minutes to get the crown of my head braided and it came out really good. But man are they tight! I was not looking forward to taking them out.
Here is the finished product...

I decided to stay out in the Bahama sun and get a nice tan on deck 10. When I looked over the rail I saw these interesting costumed people taking pictures with the RC cruisers.

The costumes were head to toe bright color hat included. It was cool to watch.

I then grabbed a lounge chair above the goofy pool and watched some cartoons in the sun.

Up next a rumble in my tummy and "your all alone?!"

Cheryl, Your update is awesome. I am glad that B didn't get to sick, glad the eating seemed to help. The cruise looks so amazing, Parrot Cay looks way cool, very neat. Very cool how you all got to know your waiter and everything too, they sound amazing. The stuff they left on your bed was so cute, I love it. I can't believe you forgot your phone charger, I would have been hunting high and low to find one, I go crazy without my cell. Your doing a great job, can't wait to read and see more.

We were so glad she wasnt sick! That would of been awful for her. I can't believe I forgot my charger either. I'm such a dope sometimes.

Parrot cay had the best food in my opinion, very very good! I couldn't believe that about the mac and cheese either. It was just very watered down. yuck!

Ohhh if you go over to goofy's make sure to eat a marshmallow for me! mmmm I can't wait to get back down there to eat one.

Great update Cheryl!!! The cruise just sounds amazing and all your pictures are beautiful, that suite, oh my gosh!!! I can't even imagine, just think how many trips that would pay for to WDW, I say go on vacation. Your braids looks wonderful, I did them one time myself and I couldn't sleep with them in, so I had to sit that night and take them all out, I was so mad at myself. Can't wait to read and see more.

So happy to hear that you are heading back down for the Holidays, this will be my first Christmas at Disney too, I am very excited.

Ok so after some sun tanning I was getting a little hungry. I checked out my Navigator and found out that Tritons was serving lunch or I could head over to beach blanket. I voted for the first choice. I made my way downstairs and was a little early for lunch so I decided to look at the many details of the beautiful lobby.

Looking at the ceiling

Looking at the lobby quickly there arent many Disney sights to see. But if you take a closer look there are so many Disney details...the ship is so elegant and beautiful but still has that Disney touch.
The stair rails. There were different characters all the way up...

The open back elevators.

This was a tv on the wall that would change and show some of the many CM's that made our cruise so wonderful. Here was our Cruise director.

So after looking around the lobby for a few I got inline waiting for the doors at Tritons to open.

At 12 we were allowed in. I was asked how many and when I said one I kind of got a suprised look. I was seated towards the back of the resturant and close to a window. The place was really nice, decorated in shades of blue with a huge mosaic on the back wall of King Triton himself. My servers quickly came over and suprise it was my dinner servers! I don't think that was planned it was totally by luck! They asked me where my B and K were (since they knew us by name) and I told them they went to Atlantis. They were shocked that I stayed behind. We got to talking about their homes and how I was liking the cruise. It was a real fun lunch.
I ended up having homemade nachos and salsa, a very good burger and chocolate cake. It was all very very good!

After lunch I made my way back up to deck 10 since I knew Toy Story the movie would be playing on the jumbotron that afternoon.
I watched these guys for a bit clean the big mickey design.

After watching them for a while there was an ice carving demonstration on the stage.

It was really cool to watch. It seemed almost effortless!

After the movie I walked around a bit taking a few pics of Atlantis.

I wish my eyes weren't so squinty in this picture...

I then went back down stairs since B and K would be back very soon. I wanted to freshen up before we met up again.

I heard so many things about the braids about girls crying when they got them in. It wasnt that bad but it did make your head sore till you got use to it.

I'm so excited about the holidays too! I hope they have all the decorations up. I was so bummed to read about the osborne lights not starting till after Thanksgiving.

Yea it was really nice and relaxing. But I wish I did the aquarium at atlantis and went over to DI. Oh well maybe there will be a next time.

As for the ship there were actually a lot of people on board. Granted it wasnt crowded but there were a lot more people than I thought there was going to be.

Thanks Jen! The ship is so beautiful and it really shows how much thought and detail went into building it. I hope to sail on the new ships when they are done.

The water is so beautiful in the Bahamas. It's amazing! I wish I was laying on the deck right now enjoying "Toy Story!" I loved watching the Disney movies on the ship. It's the best!

All the food they have on the ship...I probably wouldn't fit into my swim suit by the end of the cruise!!!
