Gty Room Assignment

DSIL just booked 2 days ago to come with us on the Aug22 Western. She booked Cat 10 Gty. It is still showing no room assignment on the DCL site. They said they would be sending the cruise docs within the next day or two. Are the luggage tags blank with no room number? What is the lastest they assign rooms?

they can assign GTY rooms at the port when you get there if they want, hopefully she'll get a room assignment soon, but wanted to warn you that you might not find out til at the port....

What does GTY stand for???

GTY means guarantee. You are guaranteed a stateroom in that category but don't know the stateroom number until DCL assigns one.

GTY stands for guarantee...you will not be assigned a cabin lower than your GTY and in some/many cases you will be assigned a higher category based on the ships occupancy and lunar alignment
