What grocery store would be close to Saratoga Springs? I haven't been to the World in 4 years and can't remember where anything is. Thanks in advance. Only 26 days until we get to see the World (again):santa:

The closest would be Goodings, a little over a mile (although vastly overpriced), next would be Winn-Dixie approx 2 miles on Rt 535, then Publix on Vineland Ave approx 3.5 miles.
All distances are measured from the SSR exit on Buena Vista Drive.

There is a Price Chopper a block off Broadway in Saratoga Springs, New York. Now near the WDW Saratoga Springs Goodings is the closest, but sort of $$$$.

There is also a Super Walmart not far from SSR. Its located on Turkey Lake Rd. Its 7 miles from SSR.

To get there. Exit SSR via the main entrance turn right. When the road dead ends turn right. When the road dead ends turn left on to Hotel Plaza Blvd - which is the road that DTD is on. Take Hotel Plaza Blvd to 535. Turn left on to 535 and stay in the outside lane. Take 535 to Palm Parkway which is one intersection away and turn right on to Palm Pkwy. Palm Pkwy changes names and become Turkey Lake Rd. You will see Walmart on your left side.

Here is a link for that Walmart

Hahahaha, there is no "sort of". That place is outrageous!

There's a new Publix north of Saratoga Springs on Rt. 535 (Winter Garden-Vineland Rd). Might be a little farther but it is a local store not a "tourist" store and there is no traffic going that direction. Not more than 5 miles from SSR. Also a McDonalds and a little NY Deli in the plaza.

Don't go anywhere near the Gooding's,that place 20 years ago was nice and expensive, today it's got ripped carpets, dim lighting like they're trying to save power, empty shelves and an overall look like the place is not being taken care of,on top of all that,it's still expensive. They're used to be several of these and this is the last one left.Go to the Winn Dixie on 535 or the Publix on Vineland,Winn Dixie being the closest one. There's two WalMarts one south on 535 and another one you would reach by turning unto Palm Pkwy which becomes Turkey Lake rd,if you go this way you can also reach a Whole Foods at the corner of Sand Lake rd and Turkey Lake rd.There's also another Publix on Restaurant Row on Sand Lake rd,just turn left when you reach Sand Lake rd from Turkey Lake rd.

Is there any transportation to these grocery stores? We will not have a car, but will have a kitchen and are trying to save money (ha, ha) while we are at Disney.

Tons of taxi's sitting outside Walmart on Turkey Lake. There is a Lynx bus stop across the street from Walmart-but no direct bus from DTD to Walmart.

You may be better off ordering from gardener over.com or wegoshop.com. Both come highly recommended here on the boards
