Going to the Sheraton for the day in Nassau

I read somewhere here that someone went to the Sheraton for the day in Nassau for $20 per person for their port adventure (on their own) Has anyone done that? I'm not really excited about any of the port adventures in Nassau. Just relaxing at the beach & pool would be nice....... I looked at the Sheraton website but couldn't find anything about visiting for the day....

Thank you in advance - any help would be appreciated.

I've been to the Hilton as well. 10-15 minute walk from the ship.

Booked it through https://bahamascruiseexcursions.com when we went last summer (RCCL Allure). It cost us (at the time) about $130 for 2 adults + 1 over 5 and 1 under 5. We had $100 in food/drink credit so it felt like a pretty good deal. The only drawback was that it took a long time to get the food, so if you do decide to go to the Hilton, order early. If you want drinks, just go up to the bar and order - they should have a tab for you (against your credit voucher) by that point.

Thank you very much for this information. My family and I were thinking of going to the Atlantis, but it is quite expensive and I've read mixed reviews. The Hilton sounds like a great alternative. Adults $60 with a $40 food credit. Plus, we can walk. Has anyone else been to the Hilton for a beach day? I'd love to hear about it. Did anyone find it too crowded at the beach and pool, that the excursion may have been oversold?

Personally I didn't find it crowded - we found reclining seats and beach space pretty easily. Maybe 75-100 people?

I should note that one of the DCL ships (I want to say it was the Fantasy, but I can't recall) and a Carnival ship was in the same day as the Allure (so ~10,000 people descending on Nassau), so I would chalk this up to not a whole lot of people knowing that the Hilton option exists.

I believe there is also a public beach further down the road if you want to go the free route.

we have done Sheraton 2X. It is a nice resort on Cable Beach (with a casino, if you want). We walk thru the main hotel entrance (not the casino entrance), and pay for the day pass @ reception. We usually go from 10-2pm, and come back for a late lunch. We just take the bus/jitney to/from for $1PP around the corner from the main street after you walk into town (5 minutes), as we have been several times and feel comfortable finding the bus, etc., but a taxi could also be used. I emailed Sheraton and took a print out with me, which was unnecessary, but I always do. This is a cheap, nice beach day. When it was a Sheraton, day pass included kayaks, but don't know if it still does. Lounge chairs, umbrellas included. Few people know about it--I have been there at the height of spring break on Fantasy and I think there was 1 other family from DCL there.

We just got off the Dream and I recommend the Blue Lagoon beach day which includes lunch. Water was crystal clear and warm. Beautiful relaxing day!

Thanks for the suggestions, sounds like there are some great options for a beach day in Nassau.
