Hi quick question we will be heading down to Disney for a last minute trip:cool1::cool1: We have a chance to see the Rose Parade but do not want to stay in Pasedena... way to expensive. Does anyone know how far from Disney area to parade route.. give or take? any suggestions about doing the same?

It's about 45 miles.

People line up on the parade route beginning on Dec 31, spending the night. If you have tickets for the bleachers parking nearby is very difficult - prepare for a very long walk and very expensive parking. Seeing the parade closer to the end of the route can be easier to get a spot on the street and parking.

Anaheim is too far. If you don't want to find a place to stay in Pasadena and don't want to drive you can find a hotel in either Downtown LA or Hollywood that is close to the Metrorail and take that into Pasadena early on New Year's morning. In Downtown LA the Metro Plaza is a budget motel that is very convenient to the Metro. I just checked Expedia and it's just under $100 for that night.

ah, the Rose Parade is worth! But, when we went, we booked a tour through AAA and it was pricey (it included stuff that you don't need to just view the parade). IMHO, seeing the Rose Parade is a "Bucket List" item for a lot of people.

But if your main objective is to go to Disneyland, no, they're not close.
