Gift cards and on board account

K I have to admit I enjoy saving money with gift cards on a Disney cruise. I just have a question... Normally we prepay into our account after the cruise is paid in full so we don't have sticker shock.


If we use a Ta can we use a gift card to pay for the on board account in advance by calling DCL or do we have to wait until on board?

If you use a TA the TA must apply the cards in advance. Or you can do it yourself once onboard.
