We will be heading to the World in October and DM will be with us. She is having a knee replacement in June so she will be 4 months out in Oct. Can she benifit from a GAC and where can I find info on it. Her knees have been bad for a long time and usually we just rent a wheelchair. So should we get a GAC.

I've moved this thread to the disABILITIES! board. Your question will be much better answered here. :)

There is a section about Guest Assistance Cards on post #6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. That thread is near the top of the disABILITIES Board or you can follow the link in my signature to get there.

With a bad knee, a wheelchair or ECV (power mobility scooter) will be much more helpful for her than a GAC. The GAC would allow her to use the wheelchair accessible lines to avoid stairs and other obstacles if she walks in line. Having a GAC would not shorten the distance walked compared to not using a GAC.

Most people don't need a GAC with a wheelchair or ECV. The CM can see the wheelchair/ECV and will route you to the correct place for boarding. Most of the lines are wheelchair accessible, so in most cases you will be waiting in the same lines with everyone else.
