We are going to FW in the middle of November and were wondering about the beach on the resort. Can the kids actually swim there and play in the sand? We are not sure how big it is, if they allow sand toys, or if November is too cold and shouldn't even bother.

There is lots of sand to play in, I don't believe that swimming is allowed at the beach area, you can swim in one of the two pools however, weather could be a toss up. but most likely warm in the day and cool evenings

That's right. There is no swimming allowed on the beach for different reasons - two of which would be alligators and snakes! WDW doesn't allow swimming on any of its beaches. And, sometimes the lakes get a parasite in them that we here in MN call "swimmer's itch".

But, it's fun to swim in the heated pools, as well as the water parks!
