Can anyone help me understand these numbers? My parents have a Woods view room at WL for 6 nights in September already booked because we were going regardless. It was booked in March. My TA couldn't get through today. When I talked to her, all that was available was an upgraded woods view bunk bed room. The difference in price is like $50 less for the new room. According to the Disney website, the upgraded room costs like $35 more per night (so $210 more). The dining should save them about $700. Could room costs have gone up since they booked in March? I thought they were set at the end of the previous year. I can't figure out why the savings is $50 and no close to $500. Anyone have any answers to this? Also, I know you have to book a new room for FD in order to qualify. Is this also true for RO discounts or did I see somewhere that they can apply that discount to the existing reservation. Since nothing is available at the level the are at or even one level above, I wondering if they should just keep their original reservation. The
travel agent told me the same package she booked (without any discounts)for them in March is now about $400+ more than it was then. How is that possible? Thanks for any insight!
