FP - how does window match your ticket days

We arrive on Sunday and will not go to park that day. We have a seven day ticket. Will we be able to book FP through that following Sunday or will it only give us the first seven days of our trip?
I have to admit, I am starting to panic a little - I am a week out from my FP window opening. It is giving me heartburn - am I alone?

If you have a seven day ticket you can book seven days of FP+ selections. They do not have to be the first even days of your trip and they do not have to be consecutive.

The best strategy is to start by trying to book the most difficult to get attractions that you are interested in for the last days of your trip and work backward. For example, if you want A&E and 7DMT, start by trying to book them for the last park day of your trip.
