Food and Wine Fest Soft Opening?

Does anyone have a clue roughly when the soft opening for Food and Wine is?

For the past few years, there has been a preview for cast members on the Thursday before the Festival starts. Last year it did not start until 1 pm. Only some of the booths are open for it, and some don't have all of their food items available. There are no wine/beer or food seminars going on that day or Eat to the Beat concerts.

1) Correct.
2) There is no soft opening, only a practice day.
3) Went last year during CM Thursday (it doesn't count against our admissions)
4) It was a mess.
. . . many booths didn't open until 3:00 or so
. . . CM's were highly untrained and fumbling/bumbling
. . . food portions and presentation varied widely
. . . many booths were "not ready for prime time"
