Phil Collins (or was it Genesis) - In the Air Tonight.
Wasn't there an urban legend where he actually watched some horrible person drown and wrote the song about it?
Not sure if this was 80's or not. But who sung "If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning..."
1960s Peter Paul and Mary. I think Pete Seeger wrote that song.
Billy Joel played here in Columbus recently. I wanted to go so bad, but I have to save all my $$. He has amazing songs. Some of my favs are "An Innocent Man" "A Matter of Trust" "We Didn't Start the Fire" "I go to Extremes" "Big Shot."
The Police are going to be here soon as well. "I Can't Stand Losing" "Don't Stand so close to me" "Synchronicity II" (sigh)
My parents listened to that ALL the time. What about Poof the Magic Dragon?
Huge Billy Joel Fan here, gonna see him again this summer, he puts on an amazing show.
OK. for all of us really old people...
Remember "Seasons in the Sun?"
