Hi all!

We're WDW vets - 35 or so trips in the last ten years. This next trip is different. We're taking my 82 year old mother-in-law. She has never been to Disney before and we finally convinced her to go. She has no idea what to expect. It's for Mother's Day weekend and is a pretty big deal to my husband as he lost his dad last year. She is also our child's only remaining grandparent. We see her about three times a year and we just want this trip to be super special. She's in pretty good health for an 82 year old.

We've already done several things to eliminate issues:
- We're staying at Riverside which we know she'll love.
- We're going in mid May at a less crowded time.
- We're doing the dining plan so she won't feel as worried about costs.
- We've gently explained tohe that we'll probably use a wheelchair in the
parks. She's okay with it although she's sure she can walk just fine.
- We have plans to spend most of our time at Epcot - the Flower and
Garden festival is something she'll like.
- We have several special things planned - a carriage ride at Riverside,
Rose and Crown for Illuminations, and the Behind the Seeds tour at
the Land for just her and her son.

Any other hints or ideas?

Thanks.

I don't know if she would be into this sort of thing, but I took my mother and my aunt for tea at the GF on our last trip, and it was a beautiful afternoon - maybe try and combine it with a photopass photo shoot there if you were planning on joining that.
