First timer questions

Good morning. I am a DVC member. My wife and I are thinking about doing an adults only ABD Greek Odyssey in the fall of 2014. I will have enough points for 1 person and partial for the other. I am thinking about renting the balance. Can someone explain to me how that might work. I appreciate any guidance. I realize that it is a bit far in advance, but I want to be able to figure out what is the best way to do this.

Well, it would have to be a transfer not an actual rental. But that is more semantics at this point. I'm not sure it would be more cost efficient than just paying for part of the ABD in cash, or renting out all of your own points to offset the cost.

You might do better to rent out all of your points and pay cash for the ABD trip.

You not only have to get the points, I'm pretty sure you'll need to get them into the proper UY.
