If you were going to WDW with someone, and it was their first time, which park would you go to first and why?

Claire ;)

Another vote for MK becuase this is what Disney is all about. It isn't massive so you won't overwhelm them either.

I would do MK last because it is the 'epitome' of Disney. My order would be Epcot, AK, DHS and then MK: each more Disney than the last!

I would also say the magic kingdom, i never feel i am truely in disney until i have walked down mainstreet and looked at the castle.

My first ever park at WDW was AK starting with a character breakfast at Donalds.

I would say Magic Kingdom and lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table - that was the first day my daughter spent at Disney and it is priceless!

Magic Kingdom for me too :goodvibes I couldn't imagine going to another park first, i'm looking forward to showing my Family MK and the castle in 25 days time :yay:

For me it would have to be MK, it's what Disney is all about. Plus the first Disney park that I ever went to with DH was DL in California where he practically grew up, so the MK has very special memories for me! :lovestruc

For me I would say Magic Kingdom because our impressions of Florida, especially before we had actually been there, had always centred around the castle.
But I would say a lot of it depends on the people who are going for the first time. If the child in the group is an 11 year old boy who is big into spaceships then Epcot might be better. If they are are a Star Wars fan then HS :)

If it is an all adult trip I would say Magic Kingdom first because that first look down Main Street and seeing Cindy's Castle is what it is all about. The only problem doing MK first if there are little kids is that they don't want to go anywhere else:rotfl2:

Exactly the same here! :cloud9:
The memory will last forever.....seeing her face as we turned the corner....the castle really DID exist!
only problem was...it was July 4th :scared1: B-U-S-Y!!!

i would say magic kingdom, but if you staying on property dont bring them in by bus from the resort .
come by car park in the car park, take the tram to the ticket and transportation center, then monorail or ferry to the park , its magical when the castle is so far away and it get closer and closer.

i am looking forward to this next next year as it will be my wifes first visit to walt disney world on are honeymoon.

I am going to go with the obvious of MK.

Even though we loved DHS last year and spent most of our time there, on our next trip we'll be going to MK on our first morning.

It just is Disney to me. :goodvibes

We Don't Visit MK that often now, but for first timers you have to go, nothing like the first time you see the Castle :)

I have to agree with most on here, MK first and as previous poster said take the ferry from the transportation tram drop off, you get a nice cool breeze and the park comes slowly in to view. :cool1:

For my first trip I was so excited to get there that I jumped on the first bus that came along. Me and my Mum ended up at the Animal Kindgom, and while it wouldn't be my first choice, we had a really great time. Being met my a talking bin, was a great start to our Disney adventure.

If I was choosing which park, I wouldn't necessarly choose the MK, as us Brits are often quite tired when we first arrive. I think its best to build up to the big one, but I'm sure you will have a great time where ever you go first! :cool1:
