Fireworks Dessert Party - Plaza Garden view

I am looking for reports back from anyone who attended the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden view. I realize this just began as of October 1st, but would like any comments from those who attend. I have reservations for Oct 15th, and just looking for general set up - standing tables? What Desserts were offered? What Drinks were offered? How many people were there vs. what would have capacity been?

I have attended the party at Tomorrowland Terrace, and we really enjoyed it. This time, I wanted to go for the plaza garden view, as it will be my sister's first trip in MANY years, and I wanted a more "direct" view of the castle.

Any thoughts on the Dessert Party with Plaza Garden view are welcomed!

I've got this booked for the 5th, so also looking for any feedback before we go.

I am looking at booking this also for our March trip. It is the same spot where wishes fastpasses used to be?

This was a waste of money .. desserts not too good & had to compete to stand at the rails to watch fireworks

I have this booked on 10/22. I am not really to sure what to expect, since I have never done a dessert party in Magic Kingdom.

Never attended, but stood in front of them. It's the old fastpass area on the plaza restaurant side. in front of them is the path they leave open as a walkway and behind them all the people eating at plaza and icecream. I never paid attention to tables but 80% of the hub is between you and the castle so I thikn it's safe to guess it's all standing.

Are they offering this during any of the parties (halloween or Christmas) or just during regular wishes?

We went on Oct 1. It felt like a lifesaver because it got us out of the rain. We liked the cheese and crackers and the desserts. The rain stopped and we were escorted to the plaza viewing area. It started to rain again so Wishes was slightly delayed. Everyone stood at the rails of the little courtyard crowded together which was funny to us. We stood near the back and had a great view (it's up in the sky, after all). Could have danced or ran laps around if we wanted to. I didn't feel it was exactly worth the money but not a waste, either. I think there are a lot of areas to view Wishes and we probably won't do another dessert party again.

We also attended the October 1st dessert party and were pleased that we had this event to attend so we could stay out of the rain. The viewing area had plenty of room, and we stood near the back of the grass to enjoy the show.

I agree with the pp who said that it wasn't a waste, but not really worth it either. However, compared to the Star Wars dessert party, the Wishes party was a much better event for us.

Thank you for the input! I think I will keep the reservations. I like the "old FP" area for Wishes, and the desserts were decent. I previously did the Terrace party in March.

We went to the Oct. 3 party. Same desserts as usual at previous parties. The tables for Plaza viewing are set up in the upper area of the Tomorrowland Terrace -- to the right of the ramp. About five minutes before Celebrate the Magic, there was an announcement to head down to the viewing area. It was sprinkling rain, so they gave us all ponchos. The viewing area was great -- not crowded at all. All in all -- I wouldn't do this party again. The desserts aren't very good. On the other hand, we went to the Star Wars party tonight and loved it -- much better production, quality of food, experience, etc.

So I read you all share an area with the food and then before the fireworks, you go to the garden view or your seats at the terrace depending on which party you booked. My question is if you book the party at the terrace with the seats/tables, do you get to eat at the table? Or do you not get your table until the fireworks start? Has anyone did any of these options since October 1st when the new parties started? Thanks!

It's not a shared food area. There was a separate buffet set up in the upper area for those of us doing Plaza viewing. Plaza viewing people sit at tables in the upper part of the restaurant. The traditional dessert party continues as it always has in the lower area.

How was your view in the plaza section? Were you able to see Celebrate The Magic as well?

So are there tables for people at both parties to eat and the only difference is when the fireworks start?

Anyone else have recent experiences with the Wishes Plaza Garden Dessert Party that they can share?

Thanks!
