We woke a little later this morning and got to Hollywood Studios at about 11am. We wanted to catch the shows, so our first stop was Indiana Jones! We stood at the back as it was full by the time we got there, but we still had a really good view!
The show is impressive for those never having seen it before, but for me personally, I think its time for an upgrade!
Tom didnt have breakfast at the hotel (I had a bowl of Lucky Charms!), so we had an early lunch at Backlot Express. We both had cheeseburgers and chips, I had a marble cheesecake, and Tom had a seasonal carrot cake. The cheesecake was okay... but I wish Id had the cupcake!
After lunch, we took a stroll down the Streets of America to look at all the Christmas lights and discussed the next time wed see them dance!
Then we head over to Lights, Motors, Action. I love the stunts in this show (Tom especially loves it!), but I love the change from Herbie to Lightning McQueen!!
We walked through Pixar Place, met an Army Man and then went to watch The Voyage of the Little Mermaid show.
I hadnt seen it for ages, and enjoyed the blackout-type show with Sebastian and Flounder. And when Ariels flippers turn into legs right in front of my eyes... it still baffles me to this day!!
A quick tour around the Hollywood Tower Hotel before grabbing an mint choc-chip ice cream, and an ice cream sandwich and settling down to watch Beauty and the Beast.
Its such a beautiful show. Whenever I leave, I always feel the need to sing and dance the rest of the day, much to the delight of Toms ears!
I was getting a headache (I think I was a bit dehydrated) and the heat was beginning to be unbearable, so we finished up in Hollywood Studios and head back to the hotel for a late afternoon swim, and a soak in the Jacuzzi. It was so lush and romantic in the twilight.
After a long discussion about where to head for dinner, we decided on Pollo Campero in Downtown Disney. We went here on our check out day in 2010, and I really enjoyed it. Ive heard mixed reviews, but basically its chicken and chips! And it was really nice!
The chicken was perfect; not too greasy and not too dry, and the Yukon chips were delicious. We took home a pumpkin and cinnamon spiced doughnut, and a slice of pumpkin sponge cake which were both AMAZING!
