Well, I didn't really think I'd post our trip but after reading some rather melancholy stories and reports of disappointments, I couldn't resist. So here goes. First, the cast.

Mom (34, college librarian, DIS guest and lurker extraordinaire, travel agent and agenda commando)
Dad (36, college instructor, theme park endurer, general Eeyore--usually)
DDs (6 and 8--cute, lovable, impressionable, and after this trip admittedly well behaved)

Finish school parties on the 15th and immediately whisk away to Dallas to spend night for 7:30 flight on the 16th.

Arrive DFW 5:30 for preboarding. Kids have never been to an airport and are ECSTATIC about flying. Great flight! They earned their "wings"

Arrive MCO 10:30. Tiffany Towncar (found from these boards) waiting and whisk us to Goodings grocery for 30 minute stop(thanks to tips from this board). Driving into Dixie Landings at 10 until 12:00!!!!! Pay driver with coupon--thanks to these boards. Room is waiting. Beautiful room in Magnolia Terrace. Immediate access to East Depot and just across the bridge from the pool and food court. Also right beside ice machines. PERFECT!! Thanks again to these boards.

Grab a bite in our room and on to Epcot. Dad, who is usually not for theme parks but sponsored a student trip to Epcot last spring insist on us going here first. Walked on to spaceship earth and immediately into Honey, I shrunk the audience. Six year old let out several blood curdling screams and demanded to be taken out immediately. Managed to survive but was terrified of anything 3-D after this one. Even Muppets 3D was a little touchy but that's another day. Visited Living Seas and then onto World Showcase. Saw Father Christmas in UK and the Santa in Germany but I forgot what they call him. Wound up in France when Tapestry of Nations started and had a front row seat. 7 or 8 of the puppets stopped to dance with our kids during the parade. A lady next to us insisted my husband take her place to get pictures of our girls' faces. Thanks! The pictures are priceless. DDs have hummed the music from this every day since we saw it. Watched the drums in Japan, the acrobats in China and rode the boat in Mexico. Didn't try to do all the movies--just walked and looked. DDs were fascinated by all of the languages they heard and tried to immitate them. Youngest has great British accent now. Thanks to the young girl selling fish and chips in the UK section! From a deep East Texas drawl to a crisp English accent. Only at Disney!!

Hopped the monorail and got to ride up front--again thanks to these boards. Visited the Poly and Grand Floridian. OH MY!!!!! How elegant and beautiful. Love the gingerbread house at GF. Saw two wedding parties in the lobby. Daughters were most impressed--maybe one day. Monorailed back to Epcot and hopped bus to DL. LOOONG DAY but so wonderful. The magic is beginning. Day two to follow. Dad hasn't been like Eeyore even once. Girls are happy all the time. Mom is relaxed. An actual vacation is seeming to take place. But tomorrow is the Magic Kingdom--oh my. I never imagined!

I'm so glad your family is having a great time. :) Its really funny how that Disney magic just takes over isnt it. Cant wait to read more...

That was nice of the lady to let you get those pictures of the girls during the Tapestry of Nations Parade. :) I bet they are priceless. :)

Thanks for sharing your trip with us, Redferg. :)
