These are outstanding...what kind of setup did you take these with?

Thanks for the kind words! I used the Lomography Fisheye 2 with some Kodak colour 400 ISO film (I cannot recall the exact type - its in the 3 for $9 bin at the local camera store I frequent. I did not use the viewfinder - took it off just in case it went flying

The 400 speed film makes all the difference with this camera - given the light gathering abilities of this fun toy, 400 film actually seems to expose the same as 100 ISO. Once I realized that, I have been getting some reasonable results from it.

Thanks for the info- I have not been very impressed with the Holga fisheye adapter I got- it's a little too toy-camera-ish

I just wanted to say thanks to those who posted shots from the Samyang 8mm(or whatever branding of that particular lens you have). So many photographers get snooty about equipment and won't even consider an all manual lens like that. Honestly, I had overlooked it until I saw shots here that were taken with it.

I've been using mine for a few months now and find that it can really hold it's own pretty easily against my mid grade Canon lenses as far as color reproduction, contrast and sharpness are concerned. I put it up there with my 50mm f/1.8 as one of the best lenses for the money that I've bought. So thanks guys. And I'll finally have some Disney shots to share from it in about a month!

Since I am the one who said it is ok to post non-disney stuff - from our local park, my daughter on the swing. Using the Rokinon fisheye, dialed to f8 with some fill flash from the onboard flash.

Nice use of fill flash. As for being non-Disney, I never thought we couldn't post non-Disney stuff. It's a photo board that just happens to be on a Disney site. We all share different images, which is good. Diversity of imagery is inspirational.

I totally agree with you - I just felt that since I brought the point up about posting the non-disney shots, I should put my money where my mouth is :teeth:

All right, you all twisted my arm enough by way of this thread! Ow! Quit it!

I just ordered a Rokinon-flavored fisheye! It's been a few minutes -- why don't it get here?!?

I gather that on my Nikon D300, it will meter and give me aperture-priority mode in addition to manual. Is that correct?

Now, I just have to get a trip to WDW lined up, and put this thing to use!

Dang it. Now that you've given in, the boards will move to pressuring me into getting one!

Have fun with your new glass!

Yes that is correct- you will just need to enter the parameters in the camera under Non-CPU Lens Data, and select the lens you are using if you ever pick up another non-chipped lens. Congrats on the new fish.

Playing with the Bower 8mm fisheye on my 7D and XTi before our trip to Europe...
