After the bridge came back down, we headed into China to look around. We had never actually gone into China before. I was still mad at them because of the huge toy recall a few years ago. Some of DS's Thomas the trains were ones that had been recalled. He had to go get blood tests and all that. NOT FUN!!
We looked around and yes it's very beautiful in there. The only thing I purchased was a little coin purse to keep loose change in. I like having a pretty one and my old one from Africa was starting to fall apart. I've had it for 2 years. Needless to say, the one from China fell apart in about a week.
Surprise, surprise.
There is no denying that China in Epcot is very pretty. Here are a few pictures from there......
Love the detail in everything.
I have no idea what this is. There was no sign but it looked interesting so I took a picture. Can anyone enlighten me?
After this we made our way back over to Future World since we explored Norway and Mexico on our 1st day at Epcot. DS wanted to ride Test Track again and I wanted to give Mission Space a try. We got fast passes for Test Track and I did single rider at MS. I got in the "easy" line. Can't remember which color that is. Wish I didn't have a group behind me rushing me through the que. I would have liked to take more pictures. In hindsight I should have just let them pass me up. Here is my one picture....
I had no idea all of that was in there. I will have to make another trip through the que next trip so I can look more and take more pictures. DS would have LOVED to see this! Maybe we can go through the que and take the chicken exit. We did let him play in the playground area at the end of the ride. He really enjoyed that.
Ok so the ride....I'm waiting in line with the group they put me in and about 10 seconds before we "board" this lady starts rummaging through her purse panicking. She rubs some sort of gel on her wrist and cant find her special motion sickness band that goes on her wrist.
I'm thinking...... "WELL FIND IT BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PUKING ON ME!!!" She finally finds it and puts it on. She tells me the name of it but I forgot. Some battery operated thing that looks like a watch. You put gel on then put this on top and it shoots small pulses of "electricity" to prevent motion sickness.
My thoughts....."oh this is bad. this is VERY VERY BAD. should i ask to wait for the next group?? she is SOOO going to yack and then I'm going to yack and be completely mortified!!" I say nothing and we board. I am the "engineer" and she is sitting right next to me. She is very nice. I like her. I'm just scared she is going to barf everywhere. The ride starts and I start feeling sick. Did I get on the bad side by accident???
I stopped looking at the screen and looked at the frame inside the cabin instead. That helped. I then looked back at the screen. I was fine. WHEW!!! She hasn't puked yet either. I think we are all good. Boy what a ride that was. Not sure if I will actually ride it again or not. When I was younger I could have ridden that stuff all day long. Now I've always got sinus issues and such. Spinning myself around or flipping myself upside down doesn't work for me now days.
Ok, on with the night.....yes, by this time it is getting dark. We head back over and ride Test Track for the last time.
DS had fun again. He's always nervous at first but LOVES this ride!! He also loves checking out all the cars after the ride....
The new Camaro...
We head back over to catch a ride with Nemo and friends one last time, then check out the Manatee's. I can't ever get a good pic of them...
By this time Illuminations was starting so we decided to head out and avoid the mad rush. We had a really good day. This is what my Henna Tattoo looks like at the end of the day....
Basically a Henna tattoo is a stain. That night I had to rub the rest of it off before I got in the bathtub because if you re-wet it, it will reactivate the stain on top and will start to smear. I peeled it off, then put that balm on it that I had bought. Took a bath and all was good. I will post a picture of the final "product" in my last installment.
Up next.....our last day at WDW!!!
