February Exercise Challenge--Let's get moving and take care of our hearts!

    Welcome to February and the WISH exercise challenge.

    February is traditionally healthy heart month, so lets take care of our hearts in February. Get out there and exercise and make some great choices!!

    The challenge is on. And it's a challenge by you to you! Challenge yourself to "xxx" number of minutes of exercise this month and then get moving!

    Post as frequently as you would like and I will update the list throughout the month. Please tell me how many minutes you have completed along with your goal for the challenge. For example:

    60 minutes on the treadmill
    60/1200



    As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
    At 10%, you'll be bright pink
    When you reach 25%, you'll be orange
    When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
    When you reach 75%, you'll be turquoise
    At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
    When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

    I am posting a day or so early, since I hope to be busy with end of the month weigh-ins tomorrow.

    I am in for 1500 minutes, and will continue my mile a day (at least) run. :goodvibes

    Thanks for hosting Rose, and thanks Figment1990 for running last month's thread. I just love these challenges!

    I'm in for 1700 again. For the first time in a long time I actually made it so we'll see if I can do it again!

    To keep up with :worship: Rose's run a mile a day for a year challenge, I have been doing my own mandatory set of sit ups each and every day. There have been a few nights when I've had to jump out of bed and do them! :rolleyes2 Pamela (pjilla) on the biggest loser thread is starting a plank a day during February if anybody is interested in joining her. We do planks in my class at the Y, but I just might add it to my daily list. ::yes::

    My goal for February is 900 minutes of exercise a day! It's a bit of a stretch for me (having just started out and going on a week long work trip, but I'm sure I can do it!)

    Hi! I'm in for 600 minutes again. I will fall short for January by 100 minutes but I think I can do it in Feruary. Thanks Rose for hosting!

    I'm in again! Think I'll shoot for 1300 again this month. I know it's a shorter one but I'm picking up the mileage for my next half at the end of March. And don't forget...March 12 is registration for the Wine and Dine. :banana::hyper::woohoo::dance3:YYYYIIIIIPPPPPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!

    I am also enjoying these challenges and appreciate those who host them so very much.

    I am in again this month for 1200 since I have another half marathon the end of april and want to keep the momentum going.

    I also like the idea of a small daily challenge that can be incorporated into the minutes so will add a plank a day also. I am sorely in need of core strengthing and I think it would really help my running form so that you for that suggestion. :flower3:

    It's a short month, and I have surgery scheduled during the last week of Feb. Not likely to be exercising after that!
