February 8th 2014 Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise Meet

Hi.
Phil and Michelle here from Chicago area will be on this cruise.
This will be our seventh Disney Cruise but our first in over three
years because of job changes. We have done the Eastern before but
this will be first time on the Fantasy so we cannot wait. Suffice to
say we are looking forward to this sailing.

You'll love the Fantasy. It's a beautiful ship and totally different than the other ships. Each has its own charm but the Fantasy is my favorite ship.

I finally got to the time to look at all the activities this group has planned and I joined the Champagne Tasting and the Mixology - how will those work? Do we all sign up for the same day and time (pre-agreed upon) once we are on-board the ship or is someone going to see if we can get a private group for these two events? I also joined the "Ladies Only" meet and greet. Has a day and time been set for that yet?

Can't wait for the cruise!!!!

Just wondering how it compares to DCL!

I would not compare any other cruiseline to DCL. They are all just so different not better or worse. With casinos on the other ships and more adult beverage and entertainment oriented. We took a 7 night RCCL SAT-SAT and then got off in Ft Lauderdale and drove up for a SUN - THU 4 night Disney and had a great time on both but really could not compare them. We tend to take more DCL but liked out other cruises also.

No dates or times set yet for events. I am sure that will happen a few weeks before the cruise. I believe most things will happen on sea days, so that should be the busy day for meets.

We need to have 20+ people signed up for each private class that will be held on sea day 30 days prior to the cruise I have to submit any lists that are full If we don't get 20, you can always sign up with DCL once you board to do the public one. So far the mixology is a go for sure

Hi all! Long time, no talk! After a long and painful debate amongst the members of this family, we have decided to change our sail date and.... believe it or not, it all boiled down to the fact that the majority of our group were not that impressed with the Fantasy in 1/13 and want to get back on the Magic for our next cruise....weird, hunh?

We will be sailing the Magic for our next two cruises and maybe, just maybe I can lure them back to the bigger ships in 2015?!?!?

I hope you all have a great trip and a wonderful Valentine's on the Fantasy (I was outvoted to stay on the Fantasy )

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that we will not be joining you on this cruise.

DH has an great opportunity to change jobs so he doesn't have to fly across the U.S. every month and be gone for long periods of time. This job would be within 10 miles from home and it has benefits which we do not have now. Just too good to pass it up. Only draw back is he wont have enough time on the job for vacation by this cruise time.

I wish all of you a very Magical cruise!!

We're going to be the 3rd family in a row jumping ship. As I'm running the Dopey @ WDW this year, DH won't be able to take 2 weeks off of work within a month. He's a software developer and they are launching a new product. Boo! Bumped back our trip to December 2014 so we'll be catching the Fantasy in her holiday glory. Safe travels!

December 13, 2014. We're going to jump on a 3 or 4-night Magic with a Florida Resident Rate in the spring so I can get my dose of DCL since we had to bump back our trip 10 mths.

I think my wife and I and maybe another person or two in our party would be down for a group mixology class, I requested to be added to the facebook group as I guess that is where the sign up is?

Hi Everyone -

We just got back from a cruise and decided to move ours out a bit so hub's boss doesn't think we are crazy. So unfortunately we will not get to join you - hope you all have a fabulous cruise! We did sign up for some things on spreadsheet if you want to remove us.
