I'm wondering what your favourite restaurants are outside of Disney and why?
Myself and DH are staying in disneys Old Key West resort for a week in November and will have a car so getting about is no problem
we are only planning on going to the Xmas party in MK , the rest of the week we have NO PLANS :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: for me as queen of the planners is going to be really hard :eek:
this is a chill out break with no kids :banana::banana: We have done a lot of the Disney restaurants before but this time don't want to be on a timetable and want places with good food that you can just walk into

We like Olive Garden either the one on the 192 or LBV - really yummy salad & breadsticks.

We also quite enjoy Outback.

This trip we ate at Cafe D'Antonio
691 Front Street
Celebration, FL 34747
407 566 2233

Amazing meal - service was excellent as was the food - highly recommended and can't wait to go back. :goodvibes

Try Bahama Breeze - there's one at LBV just under the I-4, or on I-Drive.

One tip is to phone ahead just before you set off and they will put you on the wait-list. We did that last year and only had to wait 10 minutes - other groups who turned up were being told anything between 45 minutes and an hour.

We have had good food in various restaurants at Pointe Orlando. It just depends on the day which kind of food we feel like eating. But there is a good choice of restaurants there.:)

Olive Garden (192 or Lake Buena Vista area), The Cheesecake Factory (Mall of Millenia - close to Universal Orlando), Mimi's Cafe (W Osceola Parkway & Mall Of Millenia), Perkins (they're everywhere! International Drive is my fav though), Orlando (Miller's) Ale House (Lake Buena Vista area), Uno Chicago (International Drive, Lake Buena Vista, 192), Elephant Bar Restaurant (Mall Of Millenia), Carrabbas (Lake Buena Vista area) & ihop is really good for breakfast - their restaurants are everywhere.

They're the ones i can think of at the top of my head. ;)

& They all have their own website's so look on them for proper directions! :thumbsup2

:tink:

Thanks everyone lots to look into

I second the Olive Garden and the Outback steakhouse. Both had a lot of food and small bill. If you like seafood I recommend Red Lobster. Again tons of food and a cheap bill. If you are looking for a a good breakfast place I recommend Perkins it is my fav breakfast place. Have a great trip:yay:

We like Sweet Tomatoes, on International Drive or Crossroads, for their salad, soup and pasta buffet, Bahama Breeze and a new one we found this year - Steak 'n Shake for their choice of burgers and hot dogs.

Agree with Olive Garden (and I love IHOP too) and I could sit and eat the salad and bread all day. I love the OG salad dressing- I think it has to be the best dressing I have ever tasted (although only getting it in Florida may add to the taste too).

Keep meaning to eat at Texas de Brazil and have yet to have heard a bad word about the place yet. Also, I like Chilli's mostly for their great BOGOF on frozen margaritas.

Three favourites are....

The Cheesecake Factory - located in Mall@Millenia

http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/media/menus/TCF_Takeout_Orlando_0811.pdf

Have been going here for about 6 years now - never had a bad meal.
The best selection of cheesecakes ever seen!. If you plan on trying one of them, go easy on starters and mains. Some people will share main courses.

Manny's Chophouse - on US27 near Haines City

http://mannyschophouse.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=25

Used by a lot of locals - which is always a good sign.
Keep an eye open on their website for regular offers - happy hour - early bird specials etc.

I agree on this one, my other half and I only shared a main and were going to share one piece of cheesecake, in the end they were out of the one we had ordered(it hadn't defrosted:scared1:I always thought they'd be fresh) so we decided to give it a miss as my OH can only eat certain cakes...
But the one main course definitely filled us up enough

Outback Steakhouse, PF Changs, Timpano Chophouse, Olive Garden, Millers Alehouse (love the Pineapple Mojitos there :lovestruc)!

i like sweet tomatoes - there's one right across from WDW - in the crossroads shopping center.

and i love the Celebration Town Tavern - in Celebration of course..
great fish and chips!! actually everything i've tried there is good...
