I have read that you can access deck 13 from the concierge sun deck. Can you enter the concierge sun deck from deck 13 or only from the lounge?

Can you access the concierge rooms from deck 12 or only if you come off the from forward elevators to the 12th floor? I cannot find pictures or video that show an entrance to the concierge hallway. Just trying to get a feel of the layout. The deck plans confuse me.

EDIT - I have another concierge question that I would not have thought about if not for the thread on Light Cards. I asked a question there, but so far, no answer, so I thought I'd add it to this thread.

I googled light cards since we have not been on a Dream class ship and found THIS great link.

I have read that magnets cannot be used on the concierge doors, but will this work in the concierge rooms? I assume that light switch is on a wall, so are all the walls magnetic?

You can enter CL sun deck from deck 13 with your KTTW card. You may also enter sundeck from lounge during open hours by going thru door and up staircase.

Not sure if the CL sundeck is open after the CL lounge closes though. 7am - 10pm.

You can access deck 12 staterooms from the elevator lobby or from the auto double doors just aft of elevator bank. This door is centered between the port and starboard elevators. This door leads out onto a deck that overlooks adult pool. There are doors too at the end of the halls(aft) on 12 that you may use to exit, but you can't re-enter through those doors. If you are staying in the 2 most aft cabins (either side) on 12 it saves you 15 feet. :lmao:

    Hope that makes sense.

That is the doorway that leads from the elevators to the adult pool. The fountain splash pool shown in the foreground of that picture is a family area where children are allowed.

The center double full view glass doors in the pic, as stated, go to elevator lobby. The two outer single doors w/porthole are the ones at the end of the hallways, which you may exit, but not enter. The bathroom doors are not in photo. They are located on the far right and left and not in pic. I also don't believe you can see the bathroom doors from this angle as the doors are around the corner IIRC.

    Nice find on pic.

It's all simple and obvious once aboard. 12 is easier than most other decks. In more ways than one. :thumbsup2

I will add there is a break/gap in the line shown on all deck plans between the stairs and elevators on all levels where you would actually walk thru to get to the hallways from the elevators.

The long white hall right of stairs on 12 is the main entrance to the lounge.
There is also a door in each hall across from 12012 and 12512 for quicker access to lounge if you are staying forward of the lounge.

    Enjoy

Got it! That makes so much sense now. :cool1: I stared at a deck plan while reading your post and it all came together. Not having the doors/walk ways marked makes it confusing. Thank you so, so much! I may have to record a video tour of that area when I'm on the ship. :)

You know, that's a good question. We never even tried. But, our stateroom host showed us how to get a card to just sit on the light switch activator so we could just pop it in as soon as we walked in.

We ended up using the do not disturb sign in the light switch. We learned this after seeing our room host use this trick. It worked really well for us.

To clarify with the do not disturb sign, the top that goes around the handle is split. This was easily slid in the holder and positioned for use instead of a card. Took a few seconds to figure it out the first time and worked like a charm the rest of the cruise. The nice part is it was always hanging right there didn't need to worry about carrying or grabbing am extra card from somewhere.

Just wanted you to know that the walls ARE magnetic. We did the card trick with a piece of magnet tape on the back of it, and it worked like a charm. I loved having it stuck to the wall right next to the light switch.

There are lots of options to get from your room to the aft. We usually walked out the double doors down to 11 to cross, or even took the stairs or elevator to another floor, such as 10, to avoid the traffic on 11. Then we just walked all the way aft. Bonus of this is that you get to see everyone's fish extenders, which is just fun. Much less crowded than deck 11, which has many dividers to go around, pool area, etc. Hope this helps - you're going to have such a wonderful time!
