Fantasy 7N Western - July 6, 2013

We made our hotel reservations and parking arrangements today.

We made our flight arrangements. We fly in on Friday night and are staying at the MCO Hyatt.

DH wants to rent a minivan and drop it off. There will be 6 of us. Who has the most convenient car rental drop off location at PC?

Any thoughts on when should we leave MCO for an 11:30 PAT?

We got our dining rotation!!! RAERAAE. We wanted Animator's Palate three times so we are excited. Crush is on the first AP night which is DD's 4th birthday so I hope he swims by and sings to her or something. Changed our Palo reservation to the Enchanted Garden night too.

We are not fancy food eaters and I can't imagine sitting for 3 hours for dinner when we want to do so much on the ship! Just curious as to what others think.

How did you get your dining rotation already?

We did Remy on the Dream two years ago - liked it so much that we decided to try V&A - loved it too. It's an "experience."

I want to try Remy, but DH doesn't see anything he'd eat, and it's a lot of money! I think we'll save it for next time - maybe by then I can talk him into it! :)

We are just the opposite - DH wants to try Remy and I am not very adventurous with food. :scared:

Neither of us are adventurous with food -- we liked Palo so much on our first cruise, we decided to try Remy. We were totally lost -- so we gave ourselves over to the server and she was awesome. We took all of her recommendations and tried things we'd never tried before. Awesome!

Does anyone know what night is Pirate night? I want to do Palo one night and don't want to do it on Pirate night.

Hi, not sure if someone else already answered your pirate night question, but since I just asked DCL this question on the phone the other day, I have the answer!

Pirate night will be on our Cozumel day, July 10th. pirate:

Can't wait...our whole family has costumes ready!

If you are staying on Disney property pre-cruise & paid for transfers to the port I didn't think you were allowed to pick a port arrival time. Although, when I did the online check-in it did ask me & I picked 11 a.m. Hmm, did this change? I sware when we did the Dream cruise they told us there were only 2 pick-up times for WDW resort guests and we really didn't have a choice.

Hi, the confusion comes into play because the two computer/booking systems do not relate to each other! The online check-in feature gives out port arrival times to help control the volume & flow of people at the terminal. The earlier you check-in online, the more options you have to choose from (for your convenience).

However, your understanding regarding the transportation is correct -- WDW resort guests do not have a choice for pick-up. This is completely independent of your port arrival/check-in time, and DCL doesn't even try to coordinate these events. If you arrive to the terminal later than your designated port arrival time, it'll be alright. They'll just process you when you get there.

That all said, I just found out that regardless of your port check-in time, the ship usually isn't cleared for embarkation until around 12:00 noon to 1:00pm.

Hope that info helps!

Hello everyone. Booked this cruise with my husband and first time cruisers sister and her husband. I have had a chance to read all pages. Looks like a small group. Just a few weeks and we will be cruising.:cheer2: We will be interested in joining the FE group.

We also have our costumes ready!! 60 days until our cruise. Does anyone else wish could go tomorrow???? We are getting so excited (and impatient!) Our kids are ready to exchange emails and get to know some fellow cruisers....especially the teens.

60 days :cheer2:.:cheer2: Already started packing. It will be here before we know it. DH and I did the Oct. Hawaii cruise and I was sea sick for the first 3 days of the cruise. Sea was a little choppy for me. Look forward to calm seas.

So far we have Palo's booked for pirate night. Costa Maya Salsa and salsa, Cozumel highlight and Mayan ruins for the guys and kayak and snorkel for the gals. No other plans yet. We have early dining.

I would also like to know how you were able to find your dining rotation.

Hi dsnylvrs2,

I'm doing the concierge level on this cruise, but I think maybe anyone can call DCL and the reservation specialist might be able to tell you?

My concierge specialist just told me there are 3 possible rotations for this cruse. Each restaurant is designated by its first initial --

1. RAERAAE
2. AERAEER
3. ERAERRA

Because I had previously requested Animator's Palette be the restaurant we repeated 3x, he advised me I was on Rotation #1.

First night at AP features Crush (formal night)
Second night at AP is Pirate Night
Third night at AP is Animated Feature night (where your drawing comes to life)

Can't hurt to ask? On our last 5-night cruise, I didn't even think to ask about putting in a rotation request, so we ended up getting Enchanted Garden 2x, and every other restaurant just once. My toddler son was crushed we couldn't go to the "Finding Nemo" restaurant again!

Good luck!

Hi Hawaiialoha,
Have you experienced concierge level before? DH and I just booked it for our Dec. Cruise can't wait. We have a balcony 8082 this trip. It will be our first time on the Fantasy.

This will be our 7th DCL cruise, first time on the Fantasy. Myself (Betty), DH Chris, DD Jillian (14) DD Jennifer (12). The girls do alot on their own and we spend most time in the adult pool area! Counting down the days!

Hi dsnylvrs2,

Just saw that you are doing the Costa Maya Salsa and Salsa...so are we!
Also have the cavern tour booked for Cozumel and the helmet dive for Grand Cayman.

If your family is participating in the FE exchange, please post your t-shirt sizes for all family members. Many thanks!:cool2:
