I know about the Illuminations Dessert Party - but is the Fantasmic Desert Party the same? (regarding min counts/pricing/food/etc..)

also what are the locations?

It has been quite a while since I got information on this, so if I'm not quite accurate I'm sorry. I understand there is a patio area at the back of the Fantasmic Theater. They can set up anything there from a regular dessert party (priced just like Illuminations - per person based on some set menu options) or you can do an a la carte party with a minimum cost that I believe was in the area of $400-600. If I can find more information I'll post it.

there's also the host fee with either dessert party of $90, the charter bus is needed unless your guests are taking their resort buses if splitting up reception & dessert party & the $12.50 viewing fee for anyone who doesnt have tickets.

then theres some info at http://disneyweddings.go.com/site/wed/cus/rec/location/themepark/index.jsp?styleName=style07 the minimum for a fantasmic party at mgm per disneys site is $750 & there are 2 patios the small for up to 50 guests & the large patio for up to 100 guests.

I am having a Fantasmic dessert party as a rehearsal dinner/welcome get together . I am very excited about it!

The food minimum is $750.00, and that doesn't include gratuity or tax. So it really depends on how many guests you have for your per person minimum. I'm doing the choose-your-own menu and it will be about $20.50 per person. Since I have over 50 guests, that meets the minimum no problem.

There is an outdoor setup charge fee for $75.00 plus tax.

There is a venue rental fee at $200.00, but this fee includes your park hosts/hostesses which are needed to escort your guests into the park.

You can pay for transportation, or you can all meet at the entrance, etc. If people have their own park hoppers for that day, there is no extra fee. If not, there is a "bill on consumption" for guests with no tickets, they will charge you $12.50 per each guest without a ticket later on.

The dessert party lasts about an hour and a half, including the show time which is roughly a half an hour.

I remember reading on the unofficial website that it is really hard to see during the Fantasmic parties. You can see the show, but it's really hard to see your guests and you don't get the same kind of photo-ops that you get with the Illuminations party.
