Famous People You have met While at WDW

The youngest Jonas brother was at HS last November w/ his model girlfriend. I had no idea who he was but figured he had to be some star when he got to go in that area next to brown derby to has his picture taken w/ Donald. I had to ask a young girl who that was:rotfl2:

Several years ago we were watching the Streetmosphere "street crew"....I believe they're called Citizens of Hollywood now.....and one of them started saying "do we have a deal or no" to the guy standing right next to me on the curb. At first I didn't realize....but, after a few of these direct comments to this guy I took a good look at him.......it was Howie Mandel!!

We saw Vanna White on Friday at DHS in the Aerosmith coaster. She was with two younger girls and they were on a VIP tour. They entered through the handicapped entrance but Vanna did not go on the coaster.

It's funny, because I wasn't sure it was her at first (she was dressed very casually) but in the gift shop we saw her re-meet her party and I asked my wife if that was her, and my wife confirmed it.

Since she wasn't filming at the time and looked to be on vacation, we didn't say "hi" or ask for a photo, but it was really cool to see her. She is aging very well.

Had it been Pat Sajak though, I don't think I would have been able to resist getting a photo together and telling him how much I loved his short-lived talk show!

I met Jim Belushi at House of Blues 15 years ago. I was only 14 so I didn't realize the cool-ness of it. I have my picture taken with me and him, and when I got back I showed it to my dad, who is a huge fan. He framed it and still has it.

He was pretty nice, but was a little annoyed by us teenage girls acting all giddy and goofy. :)

Last August while I was taking a break by the rock n roller coaster, Tyra banks and entourage was walking onto the ride! She looked like she had her own escort through the parks. She was wearing a long black dress with sneakers! Guess she had to stay comfy too!! :cool1:

In February, we were getting out of It's A Small World when all these cheerleaders started to scream and squeal. We saw a young woman standing with some CM's waiting to get onto the ride (this was about midnight) and it was Debby Ryan from Suite Life on Deck. We were just :confused3 and walked away but the girls loved it, taking lots of photos of her. She was waving and smiling before she got onto a boat with a CM and I'm assuming family and/or friends.

I met Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake at DTD when they were dating (2004ish?). They were going to a concert at House of Blues (I think it was a band called M.E.S.T.?) Apparently my memory isn't so good with the details... But for any Cameron Diaz fans out there, she is extremely tall and looks 10x better in person than in any movie she's ever been in! I was never a Cameron Diaz fan until that moment. Because I'm tall also (6'4) our eyes met and she smiled at me  Yeah, NOW I'm a fan! :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, and I also met the Miss America contestants in Tomorrowland by COP. They were all apparently taking a bathroom break from their tour of MK. Unfortunately, my wife, then girlfriend, got stuck with the lot of them in the bathroom. She said they were hoarding the bathroom mirrors to "polish up their looks" and were taking forever! The ones I spoke with were very friendly, and were very excited to be there. This was around 2006.

I saw Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White on Once Upon a Time) right at the exit of Mickey's Philharmagic last February. She was hanging out near the store with another woman and a VIP tour guide but no one else around seemed to recognize her. I was freaking out inside but I was working so I didn't approach her to avoid getting in trouble for approaching a celebrity while on the clock. Scary thing is that five months later, my husband and I were spending our first evening at Disneyland on our honeymoon when I see another VIP tour guide dashing across the Hub with Ginnifer Goodwin and (I wholeheartedly believe) Josh Dallas who plays her prince in Once Upon a Time! They were moving really quick so I didn't approach them but I was definitely dealing out. I've also sung in Candlelight for 8 years and seen quite a number of celebrities there but never could approach them :(

Meatloaf, the singer, at the Brown Derby about 20 years ago. The next morning a newspaper came with our room service and the headline said "Meatloaf on the Menu" with a picture of him at the table.

In December 2002, we were @ the Grand Floridian when I little girl came up to my DS 3.5yr old, & smacked him. A lady came running behind to apologize. It was Kelly Ripa, & the little girl was her DD Lola. :rotfl2::lmao:

I wrote a blog about this a few months ago but to name a few Vanessa Williams evander Holyfield rob Lowe.....

i've thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread :cool1::cool1:

i'm from the u.k. though, and must admit i've not heard of lots of these celebs! :rotfl:

we have seen-but not met-joe jonas, demi lovato, an english x factor "star" and a woman from the hills. :goodvibes

O.J. Simpson at Downtown Disney and Joey Fatone (nsync) in Magic Kingdom as we were coming out of Haunted Mansion. We got our pics taken with them each time.

Michael Jackson and his kids at Epcot, Davy Jones at World Showcase before it opened one morning with his family, Kelly Ripa and her family at dinner in Mexico, Regis Philbin during Christmas Parade taping like 3 different times, Amanda Beard, an Olympian at Adventure Club at PI during ESPN weekend, along with several others athletes.....but of course, the most exciting was Michael Jackson!

I'd be annoyed too!

I think it's fine to wave or say hello to a celebrity in Disney World.. perhaps chat them up a bit if you happen to be in the same area together (not that they wait in lines!) but asking for an autograph or a picture of someone while they are clearly on vacation with their families is a bit much...

Whatever! It's the choice they made when they became a celebrity.
