Aside from cooking in rooms. How is the food in the resorts as well as in the disney area.

Do you mean taste wise, or price-wise? What types of food do you like?

DH and I like to eat, and we like to eat good food (well, DH could also be happy with McDs, but also likes quality food), and we LOVE to eat at Disney World. There are a huge number of 3-5 star restaurants onsite. Even the counter service restaurants are pretty good.

A good place to check out the menus is www.allearsnet.com. If you go to their restaurant page, click on the Menus page to see the menus for all of the restaurants. It has the prices too, so you can make your decisions.

You can only cook in DVC villas that have kitchens or kitchenettes.

Well.. It's a great idea to enjoy with family..!!!

We were eating quick service and staying at POP. One thing we noticed is that when we stopped by a fancier resort the quick service seemed lacking comparatively in family friendly options despite listing itself as having 'all american choices'. We were at AKL and a pizza listed as a 'vegetable flatbread' was actually goatcheese and calamata olives. We would not have purchased it had it been listed more accurately. We threw it away and ate again later at POP!
