Fall Promotion to be released...

Thank You! I feel so silly. I have a DV, I've had it for several years, and never thought to check for offers to be released to card holders early. Until just now I' had never even checked what deals are available. We're planning on arriving Oct 13. Hoping for the best.

sorry if this is a stupid question......if they come out with free dining will it be listed on the WDW website ?
We have only been to WDW once and this is our first trip that we will be booking ourselves. We do currently have a room only reservation using a CM friends and family discount. But if free dining comes out that would be more cost effective for us than the room discount. From my understanding that we will have to cancel our room only and book all new. Is this correct?

Which is better......book online or by phone?

Both. Be online AND on the phone, especially if you have all your answers already (i.e. if I decide to go - and I can only afford one trip this year - I know I want to stay at X and arrive the last day possible and stay for X nights and want version Y of the Dining Plan and will start with just a one day base pass) and just book via whichever overloaded route responds first.

Given that I don't have a Disney VISA, I will probably just go through a Disney Travel Specialist who I know will be working by 7 AM on the day the general public can start booking

For sure! I started trying to explain to the CM that you can't use both but then just figured, what the heck. The phone calls to Disney always take forever anyway and I was kinda in a hurry.

Have a package booked for December. I know they don't give anything out during that time but a free dining plan would be nice to hear about. Excited just to go but also want to save some money since we're a one income household.

That is my promise ring. My DBf gave it to me on our last trip (first time together!) before Wishes in front of the castle. From what I have managed to dig out of him, it is no longer available where he bought it but that you can get it on ebay. Last time I checked it was (I think) close to $80! Several other people have commented about it and I think someone said they found something similar by searching Mickey rings. If you search on ebay look for "Diamonique Mickey" and they should come up. I think they have several sizes, so go check it out! Good luck!

I get so many compliments when I wear that ring. I usually wear it when I go to Disney. I got it on qvc but I do not think they carry it anymore. Perhaps ebay is best bet.

Ok--I just got off the phone with Disney. I was told that Disney never releases their deals on the weekend (which is when the current offers are set to expire). She told me to check Disney's website first thing tomorrow or first thing Monday morning. Of course, she did not indicate if or what the promo would be but if they were to release something new for the fall, it would be tomorrow or Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's FD!!! She said that normally they've already heard something by now, but not this time.

For months the speculation here on the Dis is that the FD offer/code would be released for Disney Visa holders on March 29 and to the general public on April 2, for the booking dates of August 15 - October 2, 2010, and I would say that those dates are still a pretty safe bet.

Yes it was for Disney Visa holders....you are correct....but was still unusual but very welcomed to be offered during that time frame....so there is still hope for others....pixie dust

Actually the dates for release were not Sunday and Wednesday....here are the past 4 years dates:

2006 was 4/1 for DV (Saturday)
2007 was 4/9 (Monday)
2008 was 4/7 (Monday)
2009 was 3/26 (Thursday)

the public code released 3 days after these. You could book through mid/end of June and the dates covered August through late to early October:

2006 covered through 9/30
2007 covered through 9/22
2008 covered through 9/20
2009 covered through 10/3
