How do you use your expiring frequent flyer miles?

    Mags for miles?

    Points.com?

Last time I did the mags for miles. However, now I do something to keep my miles current. I linked to the AA dining plan, so I very occasionally happen to eat at a restaurant linked to this (we rarely eat out). I've completed a couple applications for insurance, etc so that I can get free miles. I'd look and see if there is anything for your carrier where you could earn miles before I spent them. However, if they're expiring quickly, the earned miles might not post in time. In that case, I'd just spend some.

    Good luck,
    Jennifer

I always concentrate on extending the expiration rather then "using my miles up". There are lots of ways to do so, depending on the airline and how much time you have. If you need to do something quickly, sometimes you can call customer service and donate a small amount of miles to charity.

I think the cheapest thing I have seen posted was to link it to your airlines mall store and just buy an i tune for like $1. You could also go to the flyertalk website for ideas. etc.

    Thanks for reminding me!

Our USAir miles are expiring soon. We moved across the country and rarely ever use USAir anymore. Not worth the $ in updating our accounts.

We have decided to donate to Make A Wish. :thumbsup2
