Ever get stuck in a ride?

I haven't posted here in a loooong time.

But anyway, DFi and I got stuck on TSM for about 30 minutes last year. We were bummed because our ride vehicle stopped in between screens so we couldn't even try to raise our scores.

We were also stuck on our ascent to the final hill on Splash Mountain for about 45 minutes or so. The CMs felt so bad that they handed us all fastpasses good for any ride as we were being led out of the ride.. :thumbsup2

Space Mountain at Disneyland a few years ago. We were stopped for about 30 minutes. The lights came on and the music turned off after just a few minutes. We had to be escorted off the ride by CM's. It was super cool to see the inside of SM with the lights on! :thumbsup2

I was stuck on Space Mountain. After a few minutes I thought, why not take my shirt off. I can say I was topless on Space Mountain. I was about 2 buttons from taking my shirt off when the lights came on and there was a cast member like 5 feet from me. 10 more seconds and he would have gotten a surprise.

My husband and his family (he was 14 at the time) got stuck on IASW for over an hour. With the music running the whole time. {cringe}
OTOH, if he gets out of line, I just have to threaten to start singing it :-)

He wins!! Can u imagine??? Lol

Ooh, we were stuck on Pirates for almost forty five minutes once. Actually, I'd love to be stuck on it right now lol ... or stuck ANYWHERE in the world. :)

Several years ago my DS & I got stuck on Buzz Lightyear. Fortunately for us we were directly in front of one of those individual targets that is on the wall between rooms. It was great!

Last year our family got stuck on the monorail for about 30min. The bad thing was that they shut the doors, and then we were in the station just waiting for a very long time without anyone saying a word to us or letting us out. Finally we went, and the monorail limped it's way to the MK.

Also last year, DS, DH & I got stuck on Splash Mountain. Our other son didn't want to ride and was waiting in the roped off area near loading and unloading for us. We had just lost him when we rode Space Mountain (I'm not as bad of a mom as I sound like, really!), so I wasn't feeling very good about being stuck on Splash for probably 20 minutes on our way up a hill. Fortunately we had a cell phone and he did too, so we could call. And he had a very nice CM talking to him and telling him cool things. When we got off the 3 of us that rode got a FP for any ride. They absolutely would not give us one for him though - even though they could see he was right there waiting for us. We decided to use it on BTMRR, which he also did not want to ride. I managed to talk our way through it with him with us and not having a FP. He didn't ride anyway.

We were stuck for quite some time on splash - we were going up the last big hill before the big drop. We could see out and it was actually a great view of the castle!!

To OP: Can't even count the number of times on Haunted Mansion but... if it's under 2 minutes they're probably hitting the red button so someone with a disability can board. One buggy stops and they all stop. Sometimes a floor sensor or light beam goes off, that can take 5 or 10 minutes you'll see the CM walking with a flashlight to confirm no one got out of a doom buggy. I've had Mansion stop 7 times in one ride (that's post the last big refurb too), but with the safety sensor features plus ADA compliance the whole ride has to stop because we're all on a conveyor system.
PS - I like stopping in some places, like the attic: there's so much detail in there, and it goes by so fast normally, but 1 or 2 minutes "stuck" in the attic is a treat to me!

To PP: Stopping on Splash for a short time sounds good, especially if you got to see the castle at night (wow!), but I can't imagine evac from Splash though. I'm sure I would fall into the water OH NO...

We got stuck on the Snow White ride right at the very end. We sat there for about 10 minutes. I think this ride is gone now...

We've been stuck on the following.....HM for about 20 min., BTMRR for about 2 min., POTC for 15 min. and several times on TTA. Last year we were stuck on TTA for 40 min. then again the next day for about 20 min. and were walked off both times :sad2: We really like to ride TTA to pass time while waiting for a FP for SM. I told my DS that this upcoming trip we might skip it. On a positive note the time we were stuck for 40 min. they gave each of us 2 fast passes!!:thumbsup2

We were stopped for about 5 minutes on Small World in the white room- my favorite room. We also got stuck on the Pooh ride on 2 different trips. Once was fairly short, maybe a couple minutes. Once was relatively long, maybe closer to 10. I got lots of pictures. Heh.

Stuck on Splash Mountain for 25 minutes at the bottom of the hill for the drop, listening to "We'll show you our laughing place" on repeat for the whole time made us contemplate jumping into the thorn bushes ourselves :lmao:
Same thing happened to me.. but for 2 hours.. :sad2: It was awful. I can't stand hearing "We'll show you our laughing place" anymore. :lmao:

Must be a popular place to get stuck! I got stopped there twice during my trip in February 2012. First time was about 10 minutes and second was over 30 minutes. I wanted to kill the vultures after a bit too!! :lmao:

We got evacuated from POC in March. Fire Dept and everything had to come and lift us off the boats over to the "land" and we walked through the attraction (sandy part where the gulls are right before the drop) and out a door. We were probably stopped about 45 minutes before they got us off. We've also gotten evacuated from the Safari due to a door that kept sliding open on the ride vehicle.

Yes, last November we got stuck on Toy Story Mania, and they ended up evacuating everyone car by car. (Some sort of mechanical breakdown)

We thought it was really cool, we got to see a behind the scenes of the entire ride, and even got some photos before they asked us to stop taking them!:)

In 2005 we were on Buzz Lightyear & it stopped for 15-20 minutes but we were able to keep racking up points so that was ok. I think we walked out on this one & got FPs. We also got stopped on Haunted Mansion for a pretty good while & had to walk out but got FPs for it. And lastly, DS & I were on Splash Mtn without DH because he didn't want to get wet. Anyway, the line was long so that took forever & then we were stuck for about 25 minutes. When we got off, he thought we were lost from him. I told him, see I told you to ride with us! DS was 14 at the time & told me I'd better be glad we weren't stuck on IaSW. lol

ETA: Years ago on another trip DH & I were on TT (think it was the WEDway People Mover then) and the lights were on in Space Mtn. It looked a lot smaller than you would think. That was cool though.

We got stuck on the Carousel of Progress years ago - the seats wouldn't move, so we got to see the same fall scene over and over and over again - along with the song -without moving - about 6 times before it finally moved again and we were able to finish the last scene. That song is forever stuck in my head - but I still go on the ride when we've gone to Disney since.

2 years ago it seemed like every ride we got on broke down!
COP stopped twice. We had to watch the first part 3 times.
Then on the People Mover and POC.
POC was terrible. We were stuck for at least 20 minutes. We were toward the end where the prisoners are whistling to the dog. So we heard that whistling for 20 min.:sad2::sad2:

Haunted Mansion also stopped in the grave yard but I'm good with that because it is always cool and it was a nice break in the dark. ;)
