Ever Been Evacuated Off Of A Ride?

My five-year-old son and I got stuck at the top of expedition Everest right where it looks like the Yeti broke the track. After about half an hour the CM's came to rescue us :). We ended up walking down through the middle of the mountain down several flights of stairs. At first my son was afraid but he ended up thinking it was really cool (so did I!!!) The park was closing at that point so they gave us general fast passes that we could use at any park. We chose TSM. Win/win!!!

I got stuck on RNRC in the very last low lighted hall before unload for twenty minutes next to a stranger. The loop of Steven Tyler screaming and fans cheering never stopped. I was rather ashamed nobody came to check on us and just used the speaker (Good thing everyone was OK), and no fastpasses. That same trip at Universal, I got stuck right before the unloading on Rip Ride Rockit, haha. Luckily the music stopped and the way the safety bars are it was easier to talk to others. It was lovely out in the sun. The employees were very friendly, checked on us, helpled us get off, and gave us fastpasses. Dinosaur stopped for about five minutes. It was funny because it was by the first main dinosaur and he broke and starting limping. The lights came on and it was neat to look around.

We got evicted off of HM. The ride stopped right in front of the dining room scene going into the attic....in the dark...pitch dark. We sat there for about a half hour before the CMs came and got everybody off the ride. The CMs were YELLING and I mean yelling at everybody to follow him and DO NOT take pictures. We got off the doom buggys and went down a stairway thats behind the dining room scene (you never see this door because its behind your doombuggy. We got let outside somewhere behind the HM. 1. i cant remember this was probably like 5-6 years ago and 2. because when you went outside and through the gates, it was nightime and we were confused of where we were lol :confused3 Very very cool and wierd at the same time. We also never found out why the ride stopped and why we were let off.

We were on Pooh this Wednesday and just loaded when it broke down. I felt lucky to not be stuck inside the ride.

Got stuck below the bride as you exit on HM a couple years ago. Still can't get that out of my head.

"Come back, come back, and don't forget to bring your death certificate with you."

Never been evacuated off a ride, but saw Space Mountain with the lights on a couple times while on the People Mover. Very cool!

I am another that stuck on EE. It wasn't horrible but a little scary. They gave us ff for ee to use any time that day.

DH and I were evacuated off of Splash Mountain back in 2007. Can't remember all the details, but we were on an outdoor portion of the ride. We could turn around and look at the castle and watched the mini fireworks display from the Dream Along with Mickey show. We were stuck about a half an hour before CMs came and helped us out of the boats. Don't remember too much about the backstage area, I was sad that it was the last day of our first trip and I didn't get to ride Splash Mountain.:(

We were stuck on Splash Mountain one year. We sat inside for a good long while until they came to unload all the boats in our sections. Unfortunately our boat was in the one spot that we could not get out on the same side as the others. Next thing we know everyone had left but my kids and I and one other woman and child. They (CMS) totally disappeared for about 20 minutes. The other child on the boat became scared and started screaming and crying. It really felt like we were abandoned. All the other boats were empty and there were no CMs around. Once or twice they yelled in to us that it wouldn't be much longer, but the poor child was crying and screaming. I felt so bad for him. Finally they did appear on the other side of the boat and we walked out the back way. I enjoyed going behind the scenes to see all the empty boats and props.

Was that in front of Porky Pines house, I got stuck there last fall and we were the last ones off the ride. Out the back door and down a flight of stairs and past the Parade float barns, to the Ride photo area.

I have been in Space Mountain when it " stopped" and the lights came on. We were sent one car at a time to finish the ride. We were the last car so we got to experience the whole ride that way.

The ride lost quite a bit of magic for me after that..seeing and doing it with the lights on makes it very blah.

My kids were on a Universal water ride ( Rip Saw Falls ) in 2010 and the ride shut down. They were the last to be evacuated and after a llooooonnnngggggg wait they finally showed up. They received several front of the line passes for other rides but we didn't need them ( we were resort guests and had unlimited ones ). We just passed those to another family...it was nice to pixie dust at Universal. :)

I was evacuated off Peter Pan by ladder when I was a kid - thankfully too young to remember much except the nap I took over London!

Last week, Winnie the Pooh stopped just as we entered the Heffalumps & Woozles. First they said it would restart in a minute, but then they announced that a CM would "be there soon to assist you." Lucky us, we stopped while going through the doorway & had to wait until they could get more maintenance guys to push our honey pot forward. Everyone was joking and the CMs were very nice. We got to walk through the sets and got some cool pictures. Tigger was still bouncing and boy does he need some oil. You wouldn't believe how squeaky he is! Then, we got "magic fastpasses" that we could use on any ride in the park. Getting evacuated (or evac-ed as the CMs called it) turned out to be kind of fun. :)

We were evac'd off of Winnie the Pooh a few weeks ago. I was snapping pics like crazy until the CM's told us to stop. lol Loved that magic fastpass!

Years ago we got stuck on Test Track and had to be escorted off the ride by a CM. It's neat and disappointing at the same time to see an attraction with all the lights on. Neat because you don't normally get to see that and disappointing because it takes away some of the magic. We got fastpasses to come back to ride test track again. We've also been on numerous attractions that have come to a stop in the middle of the ride - many times in the haunted mansion!

Years ago we got stuck on Small World for a LONG time before they turned the music off and got us out. Maybe it was only 20 minutes, but it really seemed like much longer!

Never been evacuated off a ride (although I'd love to see a bunch of them with the lights on!) but this makes me remember 2 breakdown experiences.

Once, on a trip when I was I think around 7 or so, we got stuck on POTC in the part when you're going through the scene with the bride sale, drunken pirate, etc. It felt like FOREVER and I didn't think I'd ever get the melody for yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me out of my head!

Another time I got stuck on Dinosaur for a bit. It was in a section that was completely dark, with just the atmospheric rustling/movement noises around us. Definitely creepy!!! :scared1:

Ellen's Universe of Energy. We were almost all of the way through, and we were just about to find out if Ellen won in the little game show bit. When the CM came to lead us out, I said, "We'll never find out if Ellen won!" To which he replied with, "With the power of knowledge, you'll always win." Got that piece of advice, no FPs or anything. It wasn't that bad, though! Made for a fun story.

We got stuck on ToT right before the drop. It was seriously freaky! This was back in 2005 or 2006 which were my first trips as an adult. I was still freaked out by ToT. We sat there in the dark for what seemed like forever! Finally the lights came on and a voice told us to hold on. I honestly don't even remember details of how we got down because I was so freaked out! When we disembarked the ride vehicle they gave us a chance to ride again, right then and there. We took it! No problems this time :-)

The same thing happened to DH and DS, but it was back in 1994, within the first couple months after the ride opened. At first DH thought it was a joke-all part of the ride. Although he and DS took the deride, that was the last time DH ever rode the ToT. DS is a lot more adventuresome and has riden it several times.

A couple of years after Tower of Terror opened, we were taken off not once, but twice! The "elevator car" stopped in the shaft going up...we were so freaked out. It was quite dark, and was getting very hot as we were stuck for probably almost 10 minutes...they eventually turned on an emergency light, but it was still hot. I'm sure it was probably worse because a couple of us were upset. Then we were put on another car and it happened again, but only for like a minute. I refused to get on for a third time. We came back later. We thought maybe there was too much weight on the car, but the cast member had told us they had a car full of Tampa Bay Buccaneers just a couple of days earlier and no problem...LOL! Still love Tower of Terror!
