Embarkation in Rome (Civitavecchia) question

For those who have taken a private transfer or car service from Rome to Civitavecchia to board the ship for the first time, have your vehicles been able to take you to the terminal building and/or ship? Or did you have to take a shuttle?

My mom is disabled so we’d like to avoid having her get out of the minivan only to have to walk a long way or have to reboard a shuttle.

This website however says their cans are authorized to go the ship, but what is best on embarkation day?

Bump...our son is in a wheelchair, and we booked a Tripadvisor recommended wheelchair accessible transfer to the port, but would like to hear anyone who has more info on this.

Thanks!

We did a Viking Ocean cruise that left from Civitavecchia a few months ago. Our driver was able to drop us off right at the terminal building.

What private transfer company did you use and would you recommend? Our cruise leaves from Civitavecchia this June, and we will be traveling from FCO that morning

RCCL this past summer - we were dropped off at the terminal building.

Debarkation morning we took the train, so we had shuttles there. I don't know about car services picking up.
